Keep in mind no one even saw them going past the first round that year, they didn't make the playoffs the previous year. 2023 you have a point, they should have beat the Devils as they were up 2-0 in the first round but they had little to no resilience that they had the year before. That mostly had to do with the coaching, apparently they didn't get along with the coach in the locker room. This year they have proven that they are an extremely resilient team with 55 wins, and this game was a good example.

This was probably some of the most lopsided officiating I've ever seen. Idk how you have a clear headshot by a Rangers player, then Shesterkin hitting a guy with his blocker but the Caps end up with the only penalty. I'm not even a Capitals fan. It genuinely made the game unwatchable

It was horrible for both teams. Rangers players were constantly tripped, slashed, elbowed, and hit with high sticks in front of the refs with no calls. Countless missed calls on both ends.

The missed calls and bad calls went both ways. The CAPS just have to play through it.

Tom Wilson's blatant deliberate elbow to Cuylle's face right off a face-off at center-ice, that was somehow missed, sums up how poor the officials were. Oshie jabbing at Panarin all game, didn't get any punishment from the refs, but by God did the Breadman punish him! He sent him to the shadowzone with that beautiful hit!

By Ovie's complete lack of effort and giving up the puck for the winning goal?

And before someone calls me a whiny bitch, I am a Caps season ticket holder and I never expected to make the playoffs this year, still have no idea how it happened, if the Rangers don't win this in 5 or less, they have failed.

If any of the Caps had hit Panarin in EXACTLY the same way, they would have gotten 5 and a game. Panarin is a punk

@andybartalone2829 considering panarin was being harrased all game and nothing was called I'm gonna say you're wrong

@@toaster492 That isn't what I said. What I said was that if someone/anyone had done that to Panarin, they would have gotten 5 and a game. I wasn't asking anyone to justify his behavior.
