This video is an absolute standout. Wanted to figure out what old Spidey games I could play and this confirms almost all of them (minus the non movie games obvs), especially Spider-Man 3. Those games are pretty bad story wise but I do enjoy them a lot. The PC port's only issues are just issues with the port itself and not steam deck issues so I was stunned by that, and the PS2 Spider-Man 3 running this well is fantastic as I was going to use the psp version for its wide-screen fill, but having the camera control on stick, better textures/sounds and the minimap are far more desirable for me. And even though I haven't succeeded in fixing the texture resolution in the TASM2 pc port I'm happy with the stellar performance so I can't complain too much. This video opened up the possibilities for me, the discoveries you handed me with this lead me to the knowledge to install a bunch of amazing older games from my pc and consoles and it's opened up the steam deck massively. Definitely keeping up with other "every ___ game on steam deck" entry for potential gems to play on the go ❤❤

I realize this was the tie-ins only, which is entirely fair given just how many ports there ended up being; but, I would love a followup later on that covers the original Spider-Man games, too. And hey, with Web of Shadows and Shattered Dimensions, you'll be able to play DS versions that may arguably be better than their console versions, so, that's something to look forward to!

They're both really good metroidvanias with tight beat-em-up controls, and solid 3D animation with a bit of squash-n-stretch that makes them look p impressive for DS games. Give them a try! And remember, calling something "arguably better" doesn't mean that the console versions by proxy are "bad."

Actually for the PC version of Spiderman 2002, I've managed to get the game working on the Steam Deck by using a cd crack version, then changed the compatibility mode to proton experimental and that's how I got the game to work.

Could a video of games stranded on old consoles have those games tested on their emus? Like, say Shadow of Rome and Onimusha 2 to 4 on ps2, Folklore and Drakengard 3 on ps3, Majin and the forskaen Kingdom on ps3 and 360, Viewtiful Joe on ps2/gcn, Pandoras Tower on Wii, Odinsphere, dragons crown and muramasa on ps2/wii, ps3 and psvita... on the retroarch core version of melonds you can bind the right trackpad as the touchscreen, works much better than using the real touchscreen

Sony has to contractually make movies based on certain IP's in a certain timeframe (every few years), if Sony breaks that contract, they lose the rights to that IP. Spider-Man is such an IP. Sony loaned the IP to Marvel to allow Marvel Studios to include Spider-Man in the Marvel movies. Due to great reception, the Tom Holland trilogy happened. Tom Holland's Spider-Man reverted back to "unknown status" at the end of NO WAY HOME because a loan contract was not renewed between Sony and Marvel Studios.

You should do NFS, Tony Hawk and EA Skate games, Xenia works pretty well for the latter (you can lock the framerate too) but you may need to mess with the config. There's also some RPCS3 community made config for the skate games made for the Deck, may be worth checking out! Love these videos, keep up the great work. Also, some tips for Xenia, for XBLA games you're gonna wanna set license mask to -1 or 1 if -1 breaks something for some reason, and gpu to d3d12 for more compatibility, although vulkan may run better in certain games so it might be worth it to try both.

PLS PLS PLS do this for the other spiderman games. The ones I'd call the secondary titles. Like for Spidy 2, there was Ultimate, and for 3 there was Web of Shadows and its sequels. There's also friend or foe. So much to look at and I'd love to hear you talk about these games.

How do you get ASM2 on PC to run. I found the launcher work around that you used I thinkbut I dont know how to change the registries. Also I have gotten it to boot and play but it always crashes after the tutorial section with the antennas.

If possible do you think you could tell me how you got the amazing spider-man 2012 to actually boot the pc version on steam deck? I wanna try some of the regular pc fixes on it to see if they can help with the frame pacing and fps issues but I can’t get it to boot on my steam deck. Any comment is appreciated

It's not impossible to play spiderman 3 on Wii on deck, you have to map the motion controls to deck inputs. It's possible but it is annoying

hey, hey watch the Beenox blasphemy and Tasm 1 is a underrated masterpiece tasm 2 existed a decade before insomniac's spider-man (2018) game so if anything insomniac spider-man plays like bee-nox tasm 2 yeah just terrible comparison and u repeated it as if its a fact even tho tasm 2 existed years before like nearly a decade before insomniac's spider-man ever became a thing on top of that insomniac's spider-man stole features from tasm games.
