And, like they pointed out, it isn’t a simple copy. It has the dado slot for the divider Lettering or images on a light/dark marbled surface will *always* be hard to read unless you go out of your way to outline it in a high contrast (to the lettering) color, because otherwise you can’t manage good contrast with the underlying surface throughout. Absent that, just make sure to pay attention to the surface you select for it, to minimize how much variation in shade there is.

I *completely* agree with Jason, the dice tray he picked as his favorite is the size Wyrmwood trays should be! The size you have is fine if you have a lot of space, but I know my main campaign in one where none of us really have that much space. And there's a lot of campaigns that are like that, where there isn't a huge table for space. Having a smaller tray option means that those of us with less space can get a Wyrmwood tray.

This episode is the definition of constructive criticism. Well done, all!! Side note, I loved the concept of the fold out storage/tray, but the whole point of individual slots (other than ocd) is to protect fragile/expensive dice from chipping. But if you hear the dice rattle when you shake it, you have failed in that purpose. Perhaps have some foamy/spongy material lining each of the slots? Or just get rid of the slots entirely.

Actually a pretty good review and criticism of the trays and vaults. Now if only their Homebrew crew knew how to do quality checks before they were sent home! Not trying to be negative. My personal dice tray came out great. My Master Vault however has a huge gap when closed. This is due to one of the magnets not being fully seated or flush with the surface. Should be an easy fix with a drill press or dremel. I'm sure Quinn would not have passed it. Either way, I wanted to support the crew being sent home. And these weren't the first items I bought from Wyrmwood. Probably won't be the last. Looking forward to what y'all have planned with those affordable tables and accessories!

I think that the finish situation is somewhat subjective because they have a specific finish they go for and there are about 15 different finish levels I can think of. Aside from that it's fair, they don't seem to be fans of lacquer and it my favorite finish to use. I'm not a fan of how most oil finishes come out and they seem to exclusively love it.

@justmejay14 жыл бұрын
I agree they do lean heavily on the oil finish. On some woods it really makes the grain "holographic" qualities really stand out, such a Chechen. But I also tend to lean more towards lacquer or buffed shellac simply for the hard protective shell and the high shine. Plus, I'm mainly focused on protecting things that I know will get tossed around in a book bag.
