I was amazed, saddened and incredibly relieved my parents weren't in the crowd when she played her solo. It was her show and the rest of us were just there 😅

Hers was one of the first violin KZbin channels I found, TwoSet violin was the other one. She was around 7 years old maybe?, I was 59 when I started playing the violin. So she is kind of a role model for me. Not that I will ever play the violin like she does of course, but certainly her perseverance and her commitment. And also how she loves to play.

I've actually watched that video before, but all I can say was, holy moly. Twoset here demonstrates/explains how hard those techniques are and how well she completed those at her age. Almost like a music lecture where Prof Yang and Chen teach us how to appreciate someone's playing. Love it!!

There are prodigies in every instrument and it inspires me to watch amazing Guitarists as someone who has only been playing for a few months - Tim Henson, Danny Yau, John Petrucci and Lucas Brar are my favourites - but, I couldn't imagine how it feels being a Professional who has been grinding my whole life see a child already playing at my level lol. I mean, I know she's not exactly at Brett or Eddy's level yet (she's 11) but the confidence and raw talent she has is apparent.

Plus, of course, the fact that they never rest on their laurels. They do practice what they preach, constantly trying to improve and pushing themselves. And it pays off !

Pretty incredible... I've been playing since I was 10, so that makes 4 years of practice now. I'm working on AMEB Grade 6, and heading up to Perth this month to receive my award for the best performance of an AMEB Grade 5 this year, after receiving an A+ at my recent exam.
