I'm also in favor that we shouldn't have turtles and fish in the same aquarium. I made that "mistake" but I was so lucky! I think my turtle went through an identity crisis so he kinda thinks he is a fish so they all get pretty well, that's very rare. I also had a pleco and it used to start "cleaning" my turtles back and he just went to a total zen state and fall asleep.

So I literally love those pea puffers 😍 I looked them up because I'm moving soon so I finally get to start developing my tank and getting fish. From what I read online they recommend 10 gallons for 1 pea puffer then 5 additional gallons per additional pea puffer. So cute, I wish I could find them where I live 😩😍 Edit: As I continue doing research I continue to see different gallon recommendations 😂 it sounds like the bigger the better since they're territorial 😂

Yeah there's lot of different sources saying different things tbh, bigger is always better and heavily planted tanks help with territorial species too!

I love the pea puffers but it sounds like they're not great community tank mates, but they CAN be great community tank mates but they probably won't be... So confusing 😂.

@@bry5813 From what I've read they don't do well with other fish (other than other pea puffers, they need a species only tank), but you can keep multiple in a large tank, you just need lots of plants and wood and stuff so they can each claim their own territory. They're also picky eaters, they usually only eat frozen or live food.

Generally my advice is to house iffy fish alone. You may want to give them a community tank, but if there is anecdotal evidence of a risk of them attacking tankmates, don't do it. Just because something *can* be housed with another thing doesn't mean they should be. Generally solitary fish don't actually gain any benefit from social interaction with other species at all. Like with bettas. It is *possible* to house females together safely in a big enough space, but they do not gain any enrichment or social benefit from it because they are naturally solitary. I don't know if puffers are like that, but just be careful of if they actually are happy with other tank mates or if they just tolerate it and it stresses them out. Of course it's all up to you, if you know what you're doing! I'm not super knowledgable on pea puffers lol. It's just my suggestion to be cautious if there's any risk at all. ^^ I wish you luck with your new tank though :D

Almost all of my ball pythons have bioactive enclosures, and get plenty of love. I have four so schoolwork is kinda hard to balance with handling them but it’s worth it. One of them is a rescue, so they get slightly spoiled since they were neglected in the last home.

8:33 omg my green cheek conure hates his cage too!! I always have to grab him in the dark. He only spends the night in his cage for safety reasons. It’s a really large cage. Maybe 10 times the size as this cage 8:33 . But maybe because he is spoiled af 😂 he got his own Java tree and a LOT of toys inside and outside the cage. Wish i could show a photo. But it looks amazing. Guess he is just to spoiled?!?🤫 Btw. He goes in his cage by himself. But if i want to put him in there he is really angry at me

@@PhoenixTheCat. Wild type is the kind of morph, not taken from the wild. The name does come from the fact that they’re the kind you would see in the wild, but most leos are captive bred. And also, bearded dragons do have wild counterparts that are native to Australia.

We took in my uncles lorikeet about 6 months ago due to the fact that she would only let my brother and I hold her (and attacked everyone else lol). I've never owned birds before and I was wondering what rope to use over the springy perch? She has recently started chewing at the cotton one and its worrying me a bit. She seems fine otherwise.

My fish (5 black neon tetra) had white spot. All I did was add a little extra aquarium salt to the tank and kept an eye on them for a bit. Cleared right up and they are thriving. (they got stressed because I had them alone for a long time as a school but decided to add a Mick Jagger pleco in with them as my tank is naturally planted and grew a bit of algea) all my fish are doing perfectly and I added a dwarf gourami to encourage schooling behavior in my tetras. The gourami actually has a very calm temperament and he eats out of my hand. I also have a few shrimp in the tank and I breed snails found in the st.lawrence river. In the summer I release the snails back into the river. The reason I breed them is, the st. Lawrence River in my area is almost completely ruined by an invasive species of fish. These fish have killed all native species. Not only have they gotten rid of all the fish but, they've gotten rid of all the cute little snails. So I'm trying to get that population back up. A cool thing about the snails is, when they don't think the water is perfect they go to the top of the tank and blow bubbles.

I went to petco and they hade this tank with this fish with ich barley being able to swim in with tank with fish on the bottom of the tank (dead) and a dead on floating and they hade a thermometer with fungi all over it poor fish 🥺 Edit:I actually got a fish from petco and I didn’t notice it has ich so at the moment all 6 of the other fish he is with have ich but I did treat them and some of them are going downhill but 5 of them are doing amazing

Peapuffer are no social fish, all puffers are okay on their own, some kinds like pea and redtail ore kongo puffers (Schoutedeni) can sometimes life in groups, but there is no need to, get them mates

Eggs aren’t bad, fish will probably eat the baby fish and the snail eggs aren’t too difficult to get rid of, and a couple snails don’t hurt :D

Cattapa leaves CATTAPA LEAVES CATTAPA LEAVEA salt might help also do your research on betta safe meds

Fin rot is usually a bacterial infection so you need things with antibacterial properties. If you don't want to get commercial products, using tannins from things like catappa leaves is good, also do more water changes on a weekly basis for a while until they seem to get better. Try to remove anything stressful from the tank and any sharp decorations- stress weakens a fish's immune system and fin tears can give the bacteria a place to start growing.

Help! My mom's trying to get us a budgie, which is amazing, but she's neglecting their major needs! She's saying we should get them a TINY cage, smaller than the cage they already have in the pet store. AND ROPE TOYS! I've told her why rope toys are bad, but she's ignoring me! @@xenoumbre3010 are they store bought by any chance? sorry im just trying to make sure your little guy has a proper home. so just a friendly reminder that 450 sq inches of unbroken floorspace is the limit for dwarf hamsters, and 650 sq inches for syrians. this means that the base of the cage needs to meet that limit, sadly connecting cages that dont meet the limit doesnt make up for it :(. if you think your cages are under the limit a really good option is to buy a cheap 40 gallon tank, or to make a bin cage which is an even cheaper option and theres plenty of videos showing how. dont take this as me being a know it all or attacking you, i just want the best life for your animals that way you guys will be happy and have a great bond :)

she has a vidoe called should you get an axolotl and she goes over their care and another one called how not to treat axolotls and she goes other common mistakes people make with them. but you should watch more than ust her and actually read up on them instead of just referring to her words because shes not an expert and so she doesn't know everything there is to know and can make mistakes herself (not being rude lol she says it as a disclaimer in hose videos)

Fish are always growing. When you get a new tank, try to get one that will accommodate their predicted full adult size so you don't have to constantly keep upgrading.

i know a little bit about bunnies, ive never owned one but i have done slight research. like finding out that they are social animals and are best kept in pairs, and that they shouldnt be in cages or hutches and should preferably have their own room to themselves and shouldnt be outside for safety reasons

He is a weird guy tho, he likes belly pets (which I know all the reasons to not do that trust me, but he doesn't react erogenously during or after ((he usually falls asleep)) and will _beg_ for them), he is absolutely tiny (he is a healthy weight for his size and only 68-75 grams), ignores all his different kinds of toys to gnaw through his perches, and has just a bunch of odd quirks
