Hen House in Southington is the best in CT for chicken... The original owner Ron retired awhile back and he sold the business but people use to travel from NY and Mass for their food. You should definitely check it out

I have not found great fried chicken above the Mason-Dixon line. My southern grandmother ruined everybody elses 'fried chicken or pork chop for me. I was training a guy from Massachusetts down here in SC and took him to a hole in the wall for a fried pork chop and he begged me to rearrange our training schedule to be back there so he could have it again!

Daym, for barbecue you have to try “the cue” in Danbury. Sort of an upscale spot but the food is incredible. Definitely stands out about the rest.

Hey daym have you had Hardee’s fried chicken most locations stopped serving it years ago a select few still do mostly in the southeast the one I work at in va still has it

Probably not been soaked in butter milk over a day/ fried by lunch dinner time. Definitely need to season the flower longer fry should be golden brown not. My grandmother used to add sugar to her butter milk if it needed it she drank butter milk 🥛 she knew. for fried chicken. She had this huge old mayonnaise container 🫙 she used. After washing and drying salt n pepper right into the butter milk. Good 24 hours then upon frying in an electric skillet 350 -375 ish she only fried one side till it was golden brown then flipped. or turned. But if you saw blood 🩸 oozing out more time. She only put enough oil to fry half of one side one flip maybe two at the most. Chicken may looked burnt but you’d quit eating out Daym your chicken isn’t fully cooked Old oil two has to be replaced what happens is rancid bacteria 🦠 the oil cannot reach optimum temp after it’s been fried in.
