Reviewing the fit on Vicis Zero 2 football helmets

My son and I review the Vicis Zero 2 helmets. Ulitmately the medium is quite small, make sure to follow the measurement guidelines on their website and if you are at the top range of the medium I would recommend going to the large. They have enough pad combinations to make the helmet fit comfortably.

I have a vicis zero 1 helmet and we got it vinyl wrapped. We originally wanted to get it painted but I think you need a special paint that only vicis knows.

Great video! What the verdict on the helmet after having it for a while now? My son is currently in a medium SpeedFlex and we are thinking of going with this for Safety. Would you go with this helmet again? What size would you recommend?

The vicis is amazing. would 100% recommend. I ordered both the medium and the large.. the medium comes as a smaller shell.. it was way too small for my sons larger head.... if your son is a youth with a smaller head the medium is great, but otherwise get the large.

Hey..Maybe you can help me out. My son is measured at 21.5. The large was a bit big. I didn't have the pods to adjust the Vicis. It was a demo. What did your son measure to? Damian

Guys take it to your local collision repair shop and have it painted!! I paint cars for a living and have painted many many helmets.

Just wondering, I see you have two Vicis helmets. Were you able to return one without any hassle? I bought a large trench in Canada and they won't let me return it.

My son is in between sizes because if his dreads. Hes measuring at 23inch. Should i get L ir XL?

you probably need to contact vicis, but if he is going to grow into it only small heads will fit the medium. I have a small head and it was too small for me.

I would say they do.. I wouldn't measure his hair as part of the measurment. XL I think would be pretty big. So double check. But at least you could send it back worst case I think. @@raymondharrisjr237

Painting helmets is discouraged by those who recondition. I am told if you don't use the right paint, the paint can weaken the shell. That said, I have seen many do it at youth level.

Paint is all water based now. I took the vicis to the auto paint supply store and showed them the helmet, the material and they noted that the factory themselves use an automotive type paint to paint the helmet at the factory.. I am educated on a lot of things and I am not concerned about sending my son out on the field with a painted vicis helmet.. however that is a personal decision and anyone that wants to paint their helmet they need to accept the liability.

I would love to help bud, the freight alone to ship it to me and back would be over $200.. You can call around to some body shops, or to a highschool coach and see who they use to repaint their helmets.
