Thanks for the review~ I actually decided to pull the trigger on these. My current skates are getting pretty worn(2007 Seba FR1s). It should be interesting to see how much of a difference 16 years makes in Skating tech! Its kinda interesting that they are pre-rockered. Back in the 2000s you used to have to go 76-80-80-76 if you wanted a rockered setup.

Hello Tiago, about the bolts @2:47 . That's exactly how K2 and some other brands do it. The bolts always from the right. Left skate inside, right side outside. So the wheels spin with the thread and the bolts can not become loose by wheel rotation. Can we expect some footage of you with skates in Angola? 😉

@@TiagoInlineSkater Presents are also cool... that's an acceptable excuse! 😉👍 I looked at my Powerslide Swell Black Road 125 right now - the screws are from the right, too. Left inside, right outside. And if you want to do it absolutely right like a scientist or an engeneer: Screws in inlineskates from right to left: torque 1,8...2 Nm for Hex/Allen key 4 mm or Torx 25 and a drop of blue screwlock, screws from left to right: 6 Nm and a drop of blue screwlock. Hi, also looking get these. Can you please share some inputs on sizing, should we go 1 size down from what is there on the sFR size chart? I have 258 and 255 feet, should go for 40 or 39?
@inlinefreestyle11583 жыл бұрын
@@feelthewheels368 go down 1 size from your shoe size so 39? They will eventually get more spacious. Don't buy such an expensive skate that's too loose. It removes the point of having such good performance from a skate like Igor. The FR Igor comes in bigger than the old Seba Igor. Just remember after breaking in a skate it can go up by almost 1 full size. So if you got a 40 it will eventually feel too big (like 41). Where as the 39 will eventually go into 39.5 or 40

Hi there, I've been an ice and roller hockey player for almost 30 years. My First inline skates were the original Rollerblade Lightnings back in 1988 or 89 I believe. Skate technology has come a LONG way since then, and your videos are fascinating to me in that respect. I wanted to suggest, I looked through your video list, and I see you bought hockey skates for ice skating, but I didn't see that you've tried inline hockey skates. I think you should give them a go. One thing that kills me about inline hockey skates is they don't come rockered anymore. Mission does the HiLo thing, and most brands have eithers their own version of HiLo, or one size across all 8. I bought top end Reebok hockey skates with 80mm for all 8, but run a 78mm on the front and back wheel to give me a rocker. Other guys with the flat lie can't turn with me. I can't figure out WHY hockey skates no longer come with a rocker, to mimic ice hockey skates and their playing advantages. Sure, the flat lie skates can usually out-accelerate me, but not by much, and the top end seems the same, but I can turn away from the flat lie guys and keep my speed or even pick up speed. Anyway, just some perspective. Cheers man, Cool vids, and amazing skates that you use. (lastly, I use a company called TRUE skates for my ice hockey, they scan your foot and make a carbon fiber mold to match as your boot, check them out, I'm waiting on them to make inline skates).

The previous Seba Igors were definitely better looking. I love Seba, and FR, but the FR brand is now more expensive than Seba was and the skates are pretty much the same, if I was looking for a carbon skate, the Flying Eagle Drift 2.0 would be my preferred choice. I've NEVER heard an axel make that sound when unscrewing it. Is that snap normal for seba or the seba Igor line?

Jokerr Fox that sound comes from the "glue" that is applied in the axles' thread so it stays in place when in use! :) i think the pop is louder the 1st time you unscrew your axles!
@Johro665 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is, definitely the same on my fr1's, it's the snap of cracking the seal, the thread locking compound used on the axle bolts, always does it first time you loosen them, or anytime they're pretty tight.

There's also the "marathon" and the igor carbon cuff you can buy separately... What do you think? I'm trying to make the lightest, fastest, low profile skate with a cuff for, extreme hill climb, top speed on flats , marathon, and city with terrible Boston roads. I'm going to attach a 11" 3x100 PS 'rapid' frame, 165mm mount, i think. I've decide at 11-11.5 inch frame, I wish powerslide would make a frame between 11.7 and 12.5 already... 🙄 thanks
