Great podcast. I enjoyed seeing your review since I have the Moby in my queue. You give great points explain things so well. knit the Ingrid sweater man in peer Gynt and loved it. The stitch definition is fantastic and I am very happy with how it looks. 😊

Peer gynt is one of my favourite yarns to work with! The stitch definition is so satisfying and I hear a lot of people describe it as rustic but in my opinion it is quite soft to the touch especially after a wash and block. The weight can definitely vary between a DK-worsted especially with the tweed colourways but I find it generally knits up as a DK weight

LisaR: Great review of Moby :) Yours looks fabulous. I chose a different pattern bc of the back , once I started it ,I was unsure of the instructions also . Thanks for clarifying! I used Yankee Knitter pattern "Fisherman knit" modified sleeves at sides for less ease / easy mod . Gorgeous pattern- no chart but didn't need one - very intuitive . As far as Cascade 220 , I've used for a vest for husband with zipper - uses outside for yard work & been through rough use - looks great with very minimal pilling - color is a heathered gray- not sure if dye would make a difference... ❤

Great review! I've had the Moby on my wishlist for a while now and your sweater is the inspiration I need to knit one. Similar to Spot Sweater - another pattern I really want to knit - I know there are some things I will need to modify so that makes me procrastinate. I definitely want a review of the Ingrid sweater. I’m all ready to cast it on but the complaints about the lack of detail on the underarm decreases are putting me off. I’m a very experienced knitter but hate when designers who use charts are lazy about the more complex elements of decreases (like getting the pattern to line up).

Thank you so much! I think I'll try to make this one day, its just such a beautyfull sweater. I so so so agree with you about the sizing for us busty girls. If I go for my recommended size and positiv ease, the finished result is always way too big on me! I'm currently making a Lumme pullover by Sari Nordlund with negative ease.

I think a number of cable patterns recommend a thicker yarn with smaller needles so that the cabled texture can pop. Going up a needle size may collapse the relief patterning. But it looks like her patterns have a lot of wiggle room and can tolerate a number of needle sizes.

Were you using the suoerwash version of 220? There's a superwash and non-superwash, so that would likely make a difference in the piling...
