I really like it when you're 'rambly,' as you say. You come across as relaxed and and natural, and I love that authenticity and energy. Consequently I love a slightly longer video as I just sit and knit away with you as you talk about all your knits. I get the hand cream thing - I think knitting can dry out our hands a bit. I have hand cream in every room, on every bench, in every project bag lol!! and use it all the time. And pictures are good! Yes please keep them in there - I love seeing more of the projects and yarns, as you talk about them. Lovely video, thank you. Just discovered your podcast and I loved it You are knitting all the sweaters I love - obsessed with the Seoul and have spent the last hour working out the best way to get the Gerard Garn Hope Silke and Cashmere lace in Australia- looks tricky but Hong Kong may be the best option Also love Other Loops designs, those Danes!!! You knit beautifully and thanks for the tip about both wet blocking and steam blocking - I’ve nearly finished my Maggie sweater that I knit in lovely local natural fingering without the mohair ( so it’s not so warm) and although I don’t have rowing out issues sometimes my stitches are uneven in this lighter looser gauge so I’m going to try your blocking techniques Subscribed followed and friended so no doubt you’ll hear from me again I think you’re fabulous
@toksknits2 ай бұрын
@@jennymiles4426 thanks Jenny 🤗 somehow I think steam blocking really helps to even out stitches. I hope it works out. I’m not familiar with the Maggie sweater. Is it a petite knit design?
@jennymiles44262 ай бұрын
Yes the Maggie cardigan is a fingering weight cardigan- she shows it short sleeved but the pattern has long sleeves as well and that’s what I’m doing. The shoulder looks like set in sleeves, same as her Poppy tee pattern that I also made and the shoulder fits really well.

Great knitting as always. For the liberty... when you do 2 balls at a time, you can make sure that the sides are even (i.e. always increase the same amount at the same time). You usually see it when you do bottom up sweaters when you have to do collar and shoulder shaping at the same time. It's just a different approach. You can do them separately and achieve the same results.
@toksknits2 ай бұрын

A video idea I saw someone else doing (sorry forgot who 😅) was to rate the garments they did like a year ago. so they wore it for a season and shared more how it held up over time, the yarn pilling, softness etc and also the style of the garment, do they love and wear it as much as they thought or what would they change etc I think they did a winter and a summer garment edition. i liked the idea a lot and found it very useful. You could also do something like that, I‘m sure it would be interesting 💖🧶 or you could do the typical what I knit in 2024 roundup at the end of the year or whatever timespan you like. or divide it in other categories like all my summer tops, all testknits, all cables, all colourwork, each category in a separate videos and then comparing them or rate them somehow, definitely would watch that 😅💖🧶
