I've studied and teached MMA with the Expandable Baton for 14 yrs I also highly recommend taking training with this tool with that being said this is a self defense tool NOT a WEAPON, I personally own carried on and off duty the Nex 28 in, the 36 in riot, 20 in, duty light, pocket light nd 4 sets of there cuffs for 30yrs I highly recommend there products.

Let's start with the cons. Light weight aluminum in a baton for me is useless for training. If it's not robust enough to be whacked into tires or wood full force without damage it has little value for me in training. Sure you can practice movements without actually striking but if the baton is damaged it's money in the trash. In the past I had an aluminum baton which when I struck my target it dented, and jammed, never to be closed again. Your close angle video really makes it hard to focus on it. It's like holding something up to your face to look at. Sure closeups are handy, but...

Thanks for your input! Much appreciated! Sorry the camera angle wasn't the greatest. I personally have beaten all sorts of things with this baton since this video and have not experienced any issues with it bending or closing in general. I do think that a steel baton would last longer overall though.

Batons are the best less lethal option you have to prevent yourself from catching a case.. I never leave my house without my Nex 21.
