Agreed, I believe cringe is a genuine human expression that needs to be allowed to bring joy to people. I feel that eliminating all cringe from videogames makes them more soulless.

This was a surprisingly smart show from Xbox. When you're brand is 'gamepass has everything' your games kind of turn into noise. Sitting down and talking in length about just 5 things is down right refreshing.

Kyle mentioned this Direct not feeling natural which is funny because that was clearly what they were going for. The countdown to the show had sounds of office equipment. The Starting_Soon being mistyped. The whole whiteboard aesthetic. All of it wants you to expect a more intimate raw experience, which it isn't. It's the same polish of any other presentation of this kind but now we have talking heads instead of disembodied voices. Yeah they're devs but it's leads who's knows how to pitch games not a random one that probably watches Delayed Input in their off hours. You can't fake rawness. Do you need it though.

I love your insight and reviews going all the way back to the Game Trailer days. Would you consider weighing in on the Hasbro / OGL/ D&D debacle at some point? It only affects a handful of video games, but you seem to have a head for company communication and how things should be run!!!
