Reminds me a lot of what TakeTwo's CEO said: “But we’re not trying to optimize the monetization of everything we do to the nth degree. My concern is, if you do that, the consumer knows. They might not even know that they know, but they feel it.” The first year of GTA Online support was spent entirely on cutting in game money rewards and fixing a glitch that let players dupe cars and sell them. They then went on to sell billions of dollars in Shark Cards. Also recent headlines reveal the CEO gets a cut of every microtransaction. Neat.

As someone who works in HR / recruitment, I can say that almost all job descriptions are plagiarized from other similar job postings. Most HR people are rushed or too lazy so they just Google a job posting and copy it verbatim (like Midnight Society) or paraphrase it (like Guerilla Games). HR people don't know the job descriptions they are hiring for, and hiring managers are too busy / too lazy to write a new one from scratch. So plagiarism is an easy solution with a low risk of real life consequences.
