From Fort Recovery, Ohio (Portland’s neighbor) and remember there were two attempts at being a Mexican restaurant. But it’s hard to compete in a small town when there’s already a superior Mexican restaurant a little more than a football field away in El Camino.

That seems to usually happen in small towns

I am with you on the drama in the community. It is best to ignore that negativity and do your own thing. I run a retail blog and moderate the comments so that people will not get attacked.

The drama is so stupid. I don't know how people have time for it

Didn’t realize there’s a Portland in Indiana too. I know there’s one in Maine.

I live very close to this town and it is definitely dying. Poverty is rampant in Jay and next door Blackford Counties. Jay County where this is located hosts a great group of people. The locals are very friendly. It's just that El Camino is right next door and probably pushed them out of business.
