Recently finished Eiyuden, it was terrifying entering your main town. I looked past the loading screens, but the what made the game difficult to enjoy was soft crashes on the loading screen becoming stuck; was around 20 times (main town mostly) And random game crashes was around 10. I would avoid it on switch, patience is abundant in 2024

It should be mandatory that every review channel make videos like this. I’ve seen so many games that I was interested, with bad reviews from years ago, but I have no way to know if the patches worked

I appreciate switch up doing these but it shouldn't be on reviewers to go back and reevaluate your game. That's basically giving you free publicity, which is fine if it provides a service to consumers, but saying channels should be required to do it is way too much.

YES APU!!! This is my most anticipated video series SwitchUp do. I bought the Batman Arkham Trilogy for $57 physically, I figured that was a good price for two good games and maybe I can hope that Arkham Knight is due a patch for backwards compatibility with the Switch 2 which is why the devs haven't fixed it.

Eiyuden chronicles was a huge disappointment for the switch. The developers stated that the toggle between the different modes would apply upon choosing but after a battle would default back to another mode. I was a backer for this and I just can’t believe the state it was released in

Boltgun still has old bugs like NPC muzzle flash + shell ejection + impact effects going off up to 60 seconds after the NPC has been killed, and the new patch broke the LordOf Change boss hellfire attack - it used to be line of sight but now just gets you anywhere in the level which makes those boss battle pretty much impossible. Other NPCs are also attacking without line of sight which can cause them to start infighting before you even get to them. Also had a few flying enemies attack and damage me through walls. The new update needs an update!

Oh yeah, and the new weapon selection wheel is now slap bang in the middle of the screen and obscures your view for a few seconds after you’ve changed your gun. It proper sucks!

Love this series. So nice to see the Patch Results and know what issues are still persisting in a game before commiting to a purchase. Also be useful if a game is getting a physical release which version of a game is likely going to be on the cartridge for that physical release. Apparently The Last Faith is getting a physical release in a few months but they still have some fairly annoying bugs with current version of game. Curious if it will be patched out before physical releases.

the deal breaker for me with Eiyuden was in fact the random crashes. You really don't want to be playing a jrpg which can have long stretches of grinding and exploring and reading and at any given moment. All that progress is gone because you didn't save or you didn't reach the next auto save point. It was ESPECIALLY annoying with that Overlord Metroidvania where your saves are counted towards your end of run ranking... meaning you'll try not to save as much as possible. So given how thats never gotten patched... I'm very salty everytime this common port bug occurs. It literally ruins games.

As I have said before, I have my fingers crossed that Eyuden Chronicles gets a reprint for the physical once the patches are all said and done. Especially seeing how bad it was at launch. It has happened with a few physical switch games. They owe it to us physical collectors really, bit cheeky releasing it in the state they did

I honestly don't understand why games likes Eiyuden Chronicles come out in SUCH an atrocious state that they still feel barely playable after several patches. It's sad because I really wanted to give the game a try after Rising but I just can't justify buying it unless it goes on a substantial sale.. ;(

It is really disappointing that such big games won’t get any additional support. Batman and KOTOR 2 are glaring examples. It such a garbage way to treat your customers. More people need to see these videos that highlight good devs who care.

Warhammer 40k Boltgun was unplayable for me because of the audio issues. It was making my stereo speakers pop super loud and I was worried it would damage them. Maybe I'll give it another try to see if they actually fixed anything.

Little Kitty Big City was fun and there were some little bugs but nothing too annoying. My daughter had a blast with this game!

I've been playing a fair bit of Bolt Gun. There are new sound issues, some odd glitches in the background music. There's now a long pause when automat save kicks in. Enemies spawning outside the game map which stopped the purge sections from working. General Performance is better though.

Biomutant's 1.0.2 patch also fixed some gameplay bugs. For example- the cave "Hot-hole" in the Kluppy Dunes was unexplorable as the screen would go pitch black as soon as you entered. 1.0.2 has completely fixed this

Have you guys heard any more on the update issues with No Man's Sky Adrift update where there was loss of data occurring? I really wanted to try that update out but intentionally avoided the adrift content due to that. Also I agree about the gyro controls. When implemented well, they can be amazing on the right kind of games. Borderlands 3 & Warframe definitely got their gyro down right imo. My only gripe with gyro personally is that it just doesn't feel right for me when in docked mode...fortunately I basically play exclusively in handheld and when you hold the controls & screen together as one unit it feels right at home

I was waiting for any sort of "escape" button before trying Little Kitty Big City after seeing many posts of people getting stuck. It's on sale for $20, which still feels steep for the length, but I love cats and fun, mindless exploration, so I might just pick it up now. Moonglow Bay is another one I have been wanting to play. But still not sure if it's good enough now or if I should wait for more patches.

Eiyuden is one I've been watching after enjoying Octopath 2 with the wife this spring. It would be nice to see if they can get it patched up, but I'm starting to think the issues stem from a bit too early in production to be worth the resources revisiting. The final patch up might just be a combo of duct tape solutions which may or may not run well for you - which is a shame. It would be nice if profitability didn't so obnoxiously get in the way of a good time sometimes. 😂 Ah well, hopes are high for Dragon Quest III.

I heard in another review that it was blurry and that video appeared to show it. Your video appears to show the game running at a higher resolution. Thats what kept me from buying it before.
