Sad how a game from 2002 is still better than the new sprint car games. Wish they would incorporate the tear-offs and the ability to move the wing during the race on the World of Outlaws game. Thanks for sharing, I still have this game and system packed away and refuse to let them go. Haha

Smart to keep it! And I think the new game is physically a better racing game to me, this game has some features like the tear offs or wing movement that would be great for the new game. It’s just awesome to see how well this game has held up over time for sure

Thanks for the classic game! A friend brought it with us to the RC Chili Bowl for us to play when we had down time between races. The RCCB is the 10th scale electric RC car version of the real Chili Bowl. Takes place the same week, just in a neighboring building (Mustang Arena). Man, you brought back some memories here!

So you probably remember more of it that I do haha like I vaguely remember thinks, like the into and tear offs, and spending money on the car when it would be damaged but not a whole lot more

@@Armed4Gaming one thing surprised me though, Knoxville is the sprint car capitol of the world! But you played Eldora because it's more well known?!?! LOL! I can remember one thing... when I tracked down a copy of the game back when it came out, I had called EVERY Wal-Mart around central Iowa, couldn't find one, until I got the bright idea and number for Knoxville's Wal-Mart. They had 20 copies, no saves, so I made the hour-20 minute drive in only 58 minutes and there were only THREE copies left! LOL! 2002 was a great time!

There’s 3 preset configurations of all the buttons, none of them go to the triggers. It’s so weird played these old games and the throttle and brake is a button haha

You can adjust your wing position during the race. That’s what the 21 is next to the car.

Tear-offs are coming with the 2023 update to the new title. Monster have made a good effort to re-capture the feel of this game. But there is something that is not quite right. I think the issue is track evolution. In the Ratbag game, you have to change the car to find grip, and there is always a trade-off between risk and reward when it comes to choosing lines. Throttle moderation was also very important. In the new game, it is usually faster to keep the throttle pinned, and that seems to erode the relationship between skill and speed.

Yea I did hear about that update but I’ve already finished the game fully and I know the midgets are coming but even with the gold pass you have to buy this new stuff and I’m not gonna do that again

Only flaw for this game was lack of tracks and bug fixes. Which is understandable because it was on the ps2. And it wasn’t like they could do updates back then

I never played anything from the 360, I always had PlayStations growing up, but also this emulator is pretty much just ps2 games
