Sadly Ratbag folded many years ago. I wish we lived in an alternative universe where they had been able to continue and became a dirt racing sim powerhouse.

The iracin/monster game that came out in 2022 is way better than this

@@DaltonHerzmann we'll agree to disagree. I prefered Ratbag's dirt racing games.

I think the new WoO title will be incredible. I loved the last one, and the addition of track evolution should make it more compelling. But it is astonishing that it took 20 years to get anything close to the Ratbag game. The career mode was outstanding. At short bullrings, where power didn't matter too much, you could scrape a result against the Outlaws with a cheap car and perfect driving. And that is exactly what it was lile in real life. The career mode in the Monster game is too just a test of endurance.

The WoO 23 career mode was kinda meh. Was it decent? Absolutely but I’d rather play the 2002 career mode. The 2002 game is still more realistic than the game today. Especially with damage physics. Because that’s nonexistent in the newer game
@japanesetoenglishАй бұрын
@@tyler6929 Yes. The career mode was too dependent on car upgrades. I spotted a clip from the '24 trailer that showed a similar career menu to the Ratbag one. Hopefully they have taken inspiration from it.

The one thing I wish Iracing would take from this game. Is losing your wings because of damage keeping the front wheels on the ground when you have no front wing makes a big difference in a race lol.

Great career mode and intense racing. Bristol in the big guns was epic. And looks sharp in pcsx2.

Ratbag's best was this and SNS? Disagree, it was this, SNS and arguably an underrated but fun as hell debut with Powerslide, with a post apocalyptic crumbling dirt track that had a backstory to it, each driver had a bio and each car handled differently. Plus the cheats. Oh man the cheats, and the secret level too. Powerslide is one of those games that you can clearly see where the dirt track thing started with Powerslide, but each of the tracks was just as fantastic and varied though

Ratbag went under in 05,and the big ant made some other dirt racing/WOO games,those are playable, but definitely aren't as good

The answer is yes. I loved the world of outlaw game that came out a couple years ago. But it’s still not even close to as good as this one.

In my opinion anyway lol

Strongly disagree as someone who has raced a micro sprint and done a little bit of 305 racing as well, modern WoO especially the 2023 update is the most realistic feeling dirt track console game.

@@DaltonHerzmannatleast this game had damage physics.. in the new game there’s like zero to little of ANY damage. The flip over the edge and there’s ZERO damage to the car. You spin out you restart pretty much where you spun out at

The new WoO game is good. But definitely not the best of all time… the game doesn’t even have damage physics. Which is UNREALISTIC as fuck.if you spin you don’t go to the back of the field which is UNREALISTIC.
