It's crazy to me how his huge influence, being the first person to ever make Minecraft tutorials, has seemingly been forgotten by so many. I’ve basically been playing Minecraft my whole life, and I have learned the main reason why people feel burnt out with Minecraft. It has something to do with the progression, how it’s always the same every time: get wood, get stone, get iron, get diamond, kill ender dragon, get netherite. There needs to be more options when it comes to upgrading your gear, like a variant of netherite that offers more speed for less protection/damage. Except mojang just keeps adding accessories for your inventory that don’t really do much.

I think that’s the main reason for the 1.20 update to add more adventure aspects and slightly more progression with the new armour progression

I love just going back into the old versions of minecraft and just going through it. I started on around version 1.6 ish, and It feels so nice to go back into the old versions. I still have legacy console editions installed on my xbox one. It is truly incredible how far minecraft has come. Thank you for the throwback Red.

I just revisited minecraft 1.0 today and beated the ender dragon on creative mode, and it feels indeed very different and familiar at the same time. The old textures, music, the old generation and the menu bring back the nostalgia. :)

I remember playing servers with my friend back in this version. It was so much fun. I couldn't play at home because my internet was too slow. Satellite internet was terrible when your dad thinks checking email is the only use of the web. I had a T500 thinkpad that I got from the trash. Under windows 7 minecraft was borderline unplayable so I played on linux using openJDK for my java runtime. My friend and I would play for hours and we had skype up to talk to our other friends and we would raid servers. Nodus hack client was thing back then it was just fun to mess with people on Anarchy servers.

i can relate to listening to the minecraft soundtrack brings back nostalgia. I used to play on like an Ipad 4 or something when i discovered the game. PopularMMOS's modded minecraft series was my favorite. I started playing in 2012-2014. I was in like 3 grade i think

I began playing Minecraft in its infdev stage, and grew mostly playing the Alpha versions. I'm 18 now, and remember getting the game on my shitty dell PC. I played through the early release, but tbh it's probably the era I have the least nostalgia for. I just never cared for the old hunger mechanics, and I personally loved the much brighter and simpler graphics when I first played it. Still, very fun video to see this :]
