Everything in this game is tied to Alessa. Its Alessa’s nightmare. Using the monsters as an example, the pterodactyl’s come from her fear of dinosaurs, and the grey children are from when she was bullied in school. Everything in this game definitely isnt just random or to be ‘scary’ for the sake of it.

And IIRC the Rompers (The ape monsters) represent Alessa's fear of adults.

i rly hope silent hill 1 gets a remake too. its such an amazing game that is overshadowed by SH2 silent hill 1 is like a 9.9/10 silent hill 2 was a 10/10 im hoping for the best!!!!

SH1 was a 10/10 (likely the best horror made) SH2 was a 8.5/10 (great psychological horror but not as scary, too much ammo & health, unresponsive melee) SH3 was a 9.5-10/10 (my personal fave)

i remember playing SH2 for the first time a few years ago on the ps2 and i was saving ammo till the two spear pyramid head fight and had so much ammo i could stock an armory

Henry was meant to have no personality as the player is meant to be him (and was made by a B team as the main were finishing SH3) it's a shame, if he had personality and the melee wasn't jank, would be remembered more fondly. SH1 however is top tier.
