I remember so so vividly this whole situation. I was in my room at my parents house (right where I am typing this) right after high school graduation when bye sister dropped. I loved Tati’s videos so I had her notifications on and I clicked that video and watched it within like a thousand views on it. She’s definitely lying, in my opinion when she claimed that she thought she’d loose subscribers for Bye Sisters. I think she’s trying to play a victim to earn sympathy, she’s constantly bringing up in these how scared she was. A full grown woman who thought she held all the power in her relationship with a young boy, imagine, and the only time she brings up being scared of him is when she tries to justify how she handled this abhorrent behavior. I was a huge Tati fan, but even during Bye Sisters when I watched it the first time, I couldn’t stop thinking about that age gap. A public woe is me over sleep gummies.

I honestly think Tati is lying to herself in a lot of ways. She has a savior complex and that doesn’t work well with her ego and calculated moves. I think she was baited to make the bye sister video and I'm sure jeffree and shane hyped her up that they were going to come out publicly was and expose James while also validating tati and her actions...well that didnt happen. Jeffree threatened all over Snapchat and never dropped any recipes and then tried saying he was a bigger person by not dropping them. Shane im sure promised her the docu serious and was going to throw james under the bus but he didnt follow through either. Low key i think they were all jealous of james success (ive never been a fan) but back then he was even bigger then jeffree. Regardless the kid just wanted to go to cochella the fact that THATS what triggered everything is wild lol

i think tati is effectively manipulating by throwing out truthful statements between self saving lies. if u cant determine which is lie and which is truth, she forces the viewer to question themselves which of her statements are false by peppering in truth right next to those things and then you can’t accurately determine her true intentions

I don’t trust that Tati ever had good intentions. She sought James out purposefully to fulfill spme desire to get the credit for finding the newest makeup mogul. And I think a lot of it was jealousy-a teenager gaining rapid success at the same time as her while she feels entitled to more success because she was older and had been working extremely hard for less recognition. I think there are so many elements of gr**ming in their relationship-which doesn’t at all excuse what James did and his lack of remorse and continued pattern of predatory behavior. It’s similar to how Jojo perpetuated the cycle on that young girl group. They have the choice to make good decisions-they just dont because they value themselves more. So interesting to know i view the conversation so much differently in my mid twenties as opposed to my early twenties when this happened.
