I wouldn't take the whole -Trish thinking people copy her- thing to heart. she's CONVINCED that Kim K copies her, and it's kind of a inside joke on her podcast that people copy her. Most of the time I think she's just saying it for a laugh

@ghostophelia22455 ай бұрын
@LifeIsRootedInLove I think there's a massive potential for a lot of it being jokes, but I don't think she would act and say a lot of the things she says if it weren’t for her extreme narcissism. She thinks everyone wants to be on her podcast. The last one I watched when she announced the pregnancy. I just haven't had time recently. I also think she's definitely mellowed out. She's not trying to be the center of attention and drama and that is serving her mental health pretty well

When they first started hanging out, Tati was the bigger creator. She went out of her way to promote James and his brand when he didn’t do the same for her once he got the bigger following. It’s so easy to say Tati was using James, but James was for sure using Tati. It sucks how it all went down because she backtracked on too much (that was proven to be right in the future) so I just wish she would’ve stuck to her guns because this could’ve ended differently for her if she didn’t give up. I do think none of this was handled correctly. But, as a former James fan and supporter during this, I will admit I was wrong and should’ve listened more to Tati. It just baffles me that a grown ass woman is behaving like a high school teenager that throws a tantrum because her friend group is gushing about someone else for the time being. Like, this is probably why she was good friends with a teenager, cause she’s still an immature little girl herself. None of this would’ve been blown out of proportion if she had just done the mature thing and cut ties with James. That’s what a mature adult does, and you would think someone that’s been in business for years would know this already. But it’s like social media highjacks the brains of these otherwise stable people and makes them do the stupidest f*cking thing imaginable because they can’t resist the high that online validation gives them.

my take: adults over their 20s that are mentoring young people (17-20s) should keep it professional , business etiquette BECAUSE of the power dynamics, groomer dangers which becomes a risk when the younger person has emotional obligations to the older. keep intimate emotions out of it (like love, “mom”, etc) if they are that much younger

Precisely. It's clear that the boundaries between them were way too blurry and there was too much emotional investment (especially on Tati's end) for their dynamic to work as a healthy mentorship.

"bc when you put your all into a relationship and the other person doesn’t it gets really draining" True, but the nature of mentorship necessitates the mentor putting more into the mentee than the reverse. It'd be like a teacher getting angry at their students for not giving them as much in return. Plus, if she was really doing everything out of the goodness of her heart and a desire to mentor then she really shouldn't've thrown it all back in his face *and* done so publicly, at that. That said, I'd agree with her that he's disloyal and (more importantly) a major creep, so there's limits to how bad for him I can feel.

James Charles was an investment to her (socially and financially) - when she realized she didnt have his 100% loyalty she freaked out and completely blew it all up. I get where she was coming from because that does suck in theory, but to then say that relationship was not at all transactional is just.. laughable.

I remember watching every single video and coverage of this circus display despite never caring about make-up and still not understanding wth was going on.

I can also see why Tati would be upset with James for backing out. He basically didn’t let her have a back up plan and then ditched so she had to scramble to find a replacement. Note: Didn’t follow this very closely but regardless of the situation I don’t think anyone involved in this situation was innocent.

sheesh 5 years😭 it’s crazy bc i remember the day this came out, i didn’t really like james from the get go bc he just annoyed me (nothing else) but i LOVED tati (still watch her to this day) and this hurt my feelings so bad bro. crazy how (in my opinion) tati was right about james the whole time.

the way she kept notice of all the things she did for him and held it over his head is so telling of why she got involved with him, im not saying she groomed him but… maybe she did? and when it didnt go how she wanted, off with his head! her mask slipped but we were all so caught up with out hatred towards james that we either didnt notice or just didnt care.. watching this back so many years later, its actually crazy to me just how many of us went along with this witch hunt

Titling ur video “bye sister” is so unserious i can’t believe it was real
@olivertroy55135 ай бұрын
I'll never forget my reaction to this video just constantly being "...then why did you associate with him for so long? These stories are spanning years but she was still hyping him up (or enabling this behavior she claims to be against) up until he did something she didn't like. She was either lying about how much his behavior bothered her in this video, or she was just letting it happen and storing it all up to spew out in a video just like bye sister
