My own observations. These overwound P-90's with the really resonant body can make the tone almost a little too blown out and trebly when the volume knob is all the way open. It's like there's a lot of harmonic frequencies going on... I feel like the secret sauce tonally on these Revstar Pros is to back off it just slightly and have the volume at 7 - 8. There is much more tone-shaping with the volume knob on this guitar then a lot of my other guitars.

Just bought an RS720B and I’m picking it up today! I haven’t actually played a Yamaha in person but I couldn’t pass it up, especially after seeing all the positive reviews these things have been receiving.

Love these. I’ve only gotten to try a Pro model once, but it felt and sounded excellent. I’d get it before the Fender Ultra II. Even that RSE20 $550 standard model, with Humbuckers, are great guitars. I almost bought one a few weeks ago, because it just felt right, and the high pass filter, dry cut thing, that the pulling the tone pot out does, was very similar to a single coil sound. The guy at the shop said it works like a single coil, without losing volume, snd gaining brightness. It did add brightness.

My entry level Revstar is exceptional quality for the price. I looked at upgrading, but I really couldn't justify it. (I bet you wished you'd wiped the guitar down before recording the vid 😉)

I nearly bought a revstar from the Glasgow store yesterday. It is a very good guitar, although I opted to buy a Pacifica instead.

I picked up a first series RS502 off of FB Marketplace a couple of years ago and it became on of my workhorses. I would love to find an RS720B at a price I can't refuse :)
