Thank you for your video! I have a question in regards it. I'm wondering if there is a plugin to manager the visibility graphics of multiple link at the same time?? For example. I work with multiple links(5 or 6) and I have to untick all the boxes in the visibility graphics on the annotation tab for every single view template that I use. It does take a lot of time doing that. Therefore, I'm wondering if there is a plugin which I can achieve that quickly.

I am not familiar with any addins that can help. Try apps.autodesk.com.

Thanks, can you also talk about the by linked view tab?
@DzanTa2 жыл бұрын
I'd you set it to by linked view, it means that the host view is controlled by the view properties of the linked file.
@valeriepierre72972 жыл бұрын
@@DzanTa thank you for responding. I tried that, unsuccessful. Turns out the underlay feature under properties doesn’t work on links (bummer). Please Try it for yourself I am curious to see what you find: bring in a link, now in the host file go to the ceiling plan and see if you can set the floor plan (of the link) as an underlay and see objects (furniture) in the link as underlay in your ceiling plan.

When i'm taking sections through a revit file with linked models, the linked buildings are not showing up properly, but the buildings show up in site plan view. Do you know why that's happening?

thank you for the video! is it possible to only show the "wall" from a linked model, not only this view but in all views? meaing when i link in the model, can i link only the walls but everything else is turned off?
@DzanTa10 ай бұрын
By default, the entire model has to be linked in. You can then hide all objects except walls in the linked model. After this, right click the view to save it as a view template to apply to other views.

Hello Dzan, I was wondering if you can cover how you create the same floor plan view on the central file and the link model? I have a project with 11 buildings that are linked, but for some reason, I do not see the views that have been created in the actual central files? I know under VG, they can show up, however, where are the actual floor plan views in the project browser in the link file?
@DzanTa Жыл бұрын
The names of the views in the linked files do not show up in the Project Browser of the host file by default. You can create a floor plan view in the host file like you normally would. Then, open up VG and go to Revit Links Tab. Set the override to By Linked View and grab from the list the specific view you made from the linked file. This will make the host plan view show just like the plan view of the linked file.

Hello Dzan, Thank You so much for your response. May I ask another question:) I need a "type label" on the title block that can change per "each sheet". Building A, B, C, i.e. Since there are 11 buildings, I need each sheet to be unique. I have looked all over but the only type of label that changes accordingly is sheet name/ number. Please advise

I'm working on a project where 7 units will be built on one lot. 4 units share the same template design and the other three share another design. How do I link these models at different elevations?
@DzanTa7 жыл бұрын
If I understand correctly, you have 7 Revit models in which 4 are the same design (assume 1 linked model (Model A) is copied 4 times) and the remaining 3 are from another Revit model (assume 1 linked model (Model B)is copied 3 times. All 7 models will be linked into a master site model. Once you link the models into the site model, move/copy them to their locations and then use Shared Coordinates to save their individual positions within the master site model. You can use the Publish/Acquire Coordinates command to do this. Ultimately, you will want all linked models to be using the master site model's shared coordinate location.

HI. I am working Structural . when i link architectural revit model into Structural model, i can see 2 or 3 subset also copied. may i know how this is happened and how to delete that.
@DzanTa4 жыл бұрын
The linked arch model has a Name in the Properties. This is listed in the Visibility and Graphics dialog box under Linked Tab. If you have copied this link arch model to different locations in your Struct model, the you will see 1, 2 and 3 or more within the Linked Tab when you expand the Arch model name. You can adjust settings here. Byou can also unload linked models if you don't need to see them for certain situations. Hope this helps...
