Nice video, thank you very much. Do you need the exact true north orientation for this to work, or can true north be the same as project north?
@HyperfineArchitecture3 жыл бұрын
You don’t need to use a true north / project north if you don’t want to. It can help with understanding the orientation of the project, but for a single house you could just work with Revit the way it’s set up and just place a north symbol pointing the correct direction.

how do make the corner marker (circle) of the property line in revit?
@HyperfineArchitecture2 жыл бұрын
You could: - draw it with detail lines - create a detail component to place in each corner - create a property line tag and tag the property line as many times as you have corners.

why i can't enter degrees higher than 90? i have a site that one of the boundaries is 135 degrees but i can't enter this into revit
@HyperfineArchitecture3 жыл бұрын
Metes and bounds will only be 90 or less. If it's 135 you would not say "North Rotate East 135 degrees" you would say, "South Rotate East 45 degrees"

I think you can create a schedule of property lines, though I haven’t tried it

What about property lines with radiuses? Haven't been able to sort that out.
@HyperfineArchitecture4 жыл бұрын
You can use the radius tool in the same dialogue box. If you can't get it to work then do as much as you can with bearing and distances and then trace over it with a sketch and fill in the missing pieces with your survey data.

Nice! Thanks for the tutorial... I just tried to repeat the process on a from a survey map I keep getting this response from revit "Please enter value between 0°0'0" and 90°0'0"" because I have to bearing points that are over 90° what can I do Sir?

Could I also substitute a moboard to determine my bearing, distance and closest point of approach? I like what you are putting out but I am wondering about how you calculate the risk of collision?

Drives me nuts when I input the property lines and get a line warning that the lines are skewed.
@HyperfineArchitecture4 жыл бұрын
Yep, I agree, though haven't found it actually causes any problems. But I also don't usually have projects where I need the property line to be 100% accurate. Still annoying though when it says it's skewed or the property lines don't close based on what's in the survey.

Can you create a curved "front" property line and property line setbacks video???
@HyperfineArchitecture Жыл бұрын
I've been struggling with this lately myself. What works is I start with the bottom left corner of the property and work my way around going clockwise. When I get to the front property arc, as long is it's the last line I need to do, I use the "add line to close" feature and make sure I select Arc and correctly enter the radius. Been working a lot better than me trying to enter the info, because it seems you still need a bearing for the arc, which you don't get with a survey.

Side question: How do we create a brick arch head in a window family?
@HyperfineArchitecture4 жыл бұрын
Probably with an extrusion. Open a window family and see how it’s made. Then add an extrusion above the window that’s aligned to the outside face of the host wall.
