I am working on a health care project where we are using these types of scope boxes to hide most of the entire building. I was orbiting around trying to figure out what is was because I never really worked on a project so large that it required to use scope boxes, nice explanation it really helped thanks!

Thank TheRevitKid. If I am working on a specific area, or object and I want to see what this looks like in 3D without the remainder of the building showing, I click on the item and enter BX on the keyboard. This then isolates the item and creates a scope box just slightly larger around it and allows you to see the object/element in relation to it's surrounding. If you require a larger overall view, then simply drag and increase the given scope box.

HairyMTB Yup, I think i have a video showing some section box techniques around... you could also use a scope box and create a section box from that (if your model is already parted up by scope boxes)

Hi master, thank you very much for wonderful tutorial, do you have any idea how to remove the small gap between scope box and section box? it is very annoying to create precise section box, I have to manually move section box line to be as close as scope box line after section box is generated from scope box

Hi Jeff, thanks for this wonderful tutorial. One thing puzzles me is there is always a "gap" between scope box and automatically created section box. I have to manually move the edge of section box as close to scope box as possible in 3d view elevation (so cannot snap). Is there anyway to edit or remove this "gap"? Thanks!

How can I get out of a section box/"isolated view of the selected elements" and back to the full 3D view, without "undoing"? For example, say i enter with bx into a 3D view showing only an area of the project, then I modify some stuff and want to return to my full 3D view. For now, I go to plan view, select everything and hit BX again. Is there another quicker way?

Hey Adolpho... I suggest making multiple 3D views... Call one "Working" and then have a final one with the box the way you want it.
