I own an east german moped, a Simson Schwalbe and even for that Vape makes an ignition kit, also expensive but man does it work. it was the first thing i replaced when i got it and it runs allways

Are there options for a 1980 bmw r100? I mailed vape when I couldn't find anything on their website and they said they no longer produce one for that model, c5 site seems to be going through a change as they release a new product line

C5 is taking a break while they design an all new system. Vapes /6,/7 kit will fit the R100 but the issue is that the R100 starter motor is too anemic to spin up the engine. They have anecdotal evidence that a starter upgrade will solve the issue but they haven't tested it themselves. They say they have a new solution in development, but no ETA.
