Extremely informative! Many still lack Knowledge regarding Revivalism aka Pocomania. This brought me back to my childhood as my grandmother was one of those who paid her tithes at the Anglican Church, but was a die-hearted Revivalist along with my great grandaunt. I am very fortunate to have experienced going on ‘bands trip’, and the meeting house with Mama. Well done!

Are Revivalists still observing a White Jesus though? I have so many questions about this. I love this video. So informative! I am personally happy to learn about it & to know it is still alive & well. This has sent me down a rabbit hole & I’ve also now learned about Myal. What a lovely tapestry of a culture we have. The only thing for me is that it should be just based on the movements of the Holy Spirit of God and not to include other spirits because we know that some of the customs of our African heritage was filled with evil spirits and I don't think we should mix the 2. When a person is anointed by the Holy Spirit of God it is pure and you should not seem like you are possessed. That's all. I loved the insights so I could understand when these customs are still practiced. Blessings.
