it has to erase everything in order to put only chrome OS on it. I suggest you buy a old used cheap PC to put the chrome OS on first before replacing windows with chrome OS. BTW, NEVER EVER try to "duel boot" any HDD or PC ( duel booting is putting 2 operating systems on a single hard drive/PC.).

Bruh, chrome os flex does not support play store. Only the chrome webstore. Play store is for android operating system. There are android OS that you can install to PC that supports Play Store.

Just use the terminal to install from source code. ChromeOS is a Linux distribution.

Good day.....Dual booting is not supported on ChromeOS Flex devices. If you want to try ChromeOS Flex while keeping your computer’s existing data and OS, you can run ChromeOS Flex from the USB installer without actually installing it. Info is from theiir website,

I am trying to install chrome os flex on a mac air mid 2017, I made it to the end of the process and I get the error (could not mount crytohome) and it said it was unable to verifly my password, but I did sign in and verified it with my phone. thank you
