I am thinking this was a small, pocketable fishing knife. Thin blade good for filleting. Only thing is the rough tip you filed off the end of the one piece was for removing a fish hook from the fish. You see there is a bit of a fork shape at the end of the knife and that hook shaped tip was on the end of the piece between the forked tip. It was designed to get under the fish hook to easily remove it from the fish. Then the thin blade was for filleting the fish and cleaning it. All in all, a nice restoration. I really like the knife's scales!
