Dr.Tareq al-suwaidan.your insight on reviving Islamic civilisation is timely and accurate. I liked your discussion on this topic greatly and enthusiastically. Hope the present generation of leaders will learn a lesson apart from delving on the subject seriously. I'm greatly impressed by your knowledge and understanding of the problem in entirety. Thanks again for your beautifully delivering speech.

Great interview with a great Muslim thinker! Next time Dr Safiya, if possible, plz invite his friend and fellow Muslim scholar and thinker Adnan Ibrahim.
@Ali19993

With all due respect, Adnan Ibrahim is neither a thinker nor a scholar. His mission in life seems to curse the sahaba, discredit and curse Ayisha and Muawiyah in a vulgar way. He promotes many false، dubious and baseless opinions that he made up. He throws doubts in the minds and hearts of Muslims. Dr Eyad Qunaibi refuted much of Adnan’s nonsense on KZbin with evidence. Adnan Ibrahim is so arrogant, full of himself, rude, vulgar and obscene. He definitely does not belong or deserve to be on this purely Islamic and harmonious program. Let Adnan keep his “revolutionary” thoughts to himself, please! In fact, Dr Eyad Quaibi is the right candidate to be hosted.

@@walkingwith_dinosaurs In one of those misguiding videos Adnan Ibrahim claims there is “imperfection” in Allah’s creation!!! He says for example the penguin has two wings yet it doesn’t fly!!! He gave other examples on this so called imperfection. Dr Eyad Qunaibi refuted Adnan’s false and sophist claims with evidence. What good does it do for Muslims to “find out” after 1400 years that Allah’s creation has “imperfections”??!!! Far from it! This is vulgar, arrogant, rude and near-kufr claims against Allah, the best creator. Many scholars on youtube warned Muslims from listening to Adnan Ibrahim. I wish you too would be careful and listen to true scholars, not those who misguide people with nonsense.

@@Ali19993 Oh, thank you for warning. That's a shame, I like his video about Bukhari. On the other hand, almost no scholar had no mustakes. Maybe he's not that interested in biology. From the biological perspective though a penguin or any other animal or bird etc. are absolutely perfect for the environment they live in.
@Ali19993
@Ali19993 Жыл бұрын
@@walkingwith_dinosaurs If you like Adnan’s video about Bukhari, then I humbly suggest that you and Adnan should have an answer ready on the day of judgement to justify to Allah almighty why you both have doubts or disbelieved in hadiths that the entire Muslim ummah scholars agreed to their authenticity. Mostly shias and their cronies are the ones who undermine Bukhari and all hadith books. For me, shias should embrace Islam first then they can critique hadith books. I strongly believe, like many others who listened to Adnan’s nonsense, that Adnan is a shia or hired by them for spreading doubts and suspicions about our deen. Adnan is not making a mistake when he says Allah’s creation is imperfect. These are the words of a fasiq, fajir, zindeeq, athiest …etc not the words of a mistaken scholar. Besides, I am not discussing animals and their environment, but rather a deception by a hired philosopher and sophist specifically to speak about things that can only create doubt in an ordinary Muslim’s mind.

Interesting! 2 questions from an outsider, with notes below: 1) What makes a civilization Muslim, and what makes Islam a civilization, and why is that important for the Ummah? (Notes) The 'West' might be called a 'Christian civilization', but from the perspective of Christian faith this actually seems more like a form of idolatry: God doesn’t care about national holidays or identity politics, God cares about each of us loving Him and loving each other. And on top of this God will make His own kingdom when Jesus returns. That's why I tend to be ok with some version of separating 'church and state' - obviously we want people to follow Jesus in every context, but in practice 'Christian' states don't actually do that, they just make it easier to pretend to. How different is it for Islam? 2) Why does Dr Al-Suwaidan say it is worse for Muslims in the 'West' than in the 'East'? What does the Ummah need in the West which it has in the East, especially given the very active persecution of Muslim minorities in many Asian countries? (Notes) I get that Muslims are a minority in ‘Western’ countries, and that there are some political things you surely disagree with (me too), but surely the treatment of Muslims in Chinese Xinjiang, Myanmar, and India is much much worse. I can think of a few 'Western' countries where it is bad, depending on how you define 'Western' - Israel jumps to mind, countries in Central Europe where Christian Nationalism is strong, and countries in Western and Northern Europe where Laïcité is strong, and maybe you include Russia and the Balkans - but even then I am not sure it is as bad, or as common. Am I wrong about this? And even if Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East are counted as ‘East’, isn’t there some pretty severe persecution of Muslim minorities there too? Is that really good, even from the perspective of Islamic Civilization?

I'll try to answer 1 question from my pov. A muslim civilisation the spirit of it is based on Islam. It is important because what we have nowadays is rather sad - some 3d world countries, some "nouveau riche" countries, undemocratic regimes, lack of education and science, lack of human rights because of the main - lack of the true spirit of Islam.
@VilcxjoVakero
@VilcxjoVakero Жыл бұрын
@@aiva729 that makes sense - so it is about social 'progress' within Muslim-majority societies? I think I might have been too quick to think about this in terms of a competitive 'clash of civilizations' type of thing, and that would be my fault.

Speaking as a northern Irish Christian I’m not to sure if my opinions are wanted or needed but I’ll have a say anyway, if the Islamic countries want to expand not only their influence but their future potential power they need to move away from ALL our western governments and our influences, we are a declining economic state and we are affectively committing economic suicide with this whole net zero carbon agenda, our governments (not the people) have been using the Muslim countries as a stomping ground or centuries, if this does not tell you NATO and the EU will throw you under the bus the first chance they get nothing will. You must move a was h from the US petro dollar, move away from the EU/NATO and our sanctions and for the equivalent to an EU of your own, if all the Middle East came together the way Europeans did to form one economy and took in the likes of Russia and China you would hold all the cards!

There is a saying and i am currently looking for the reference. but it Says the Leaders are the reflection of the people and if the people are corrupt then so will the leaders be corrupt. The answer to this dilemma is that we as individual, and communities. we must look within our own actions change from within encourage others to be better and then Our Lord will change our conditions.

His statements about the French language clearly show that there is an (understandable) hate towards Europeans and White people in general amongst Muslims both living in the West and the Muslim world. This has burnt the bridges of many Westerners who have either converted to Islam and our friends and family who harbour no anger towards Muslims. Millions of Westerners protested against the invasion of Iraq in 2003. It was a golden opportunity for the Muslim world to build bridges with the West, but todays generation thinks that the vast majority of Westerners hate Islam. I know this video was about Islamic civilization, but this kind of divisive rhetoric only makes it more difficult to affect positive change in the West, which then has a ripple effect vis-a-vis the Muslim world.

Dr. Ally, you are correct in saying that civilizations come and go, and the rise and fall of Islam was foretold long ago in the Bible. The Bible prophesied 7 years for the Time of the Gentiles, when the Gentiles would control Jerusalem. Daniel 9:27, Luke 21:24. Now it is clear from the context of Daniel 9 that 1 day = 1 year. So when Daniel prophesies 7 years it is actually 7 x 365 years. Jerusalem was captured in 587 BC and it was never fully controlled again by Israel until 1968. That is the 365 x 7 years. The Bible also prophesies that in the middle of that time frame the antichrist would erect the abomination of desolations on the site of the Jewish temple. Daniel 9:27.

@@hm4084 Thanks for thinking about this prophecy with me. The anointed one, the Messiah, is the Son of David. The 62 weeks corresponds to the 434 years of the Davidic dynasty. When Jerusalem was destroyed in 587 BC the last king of Israel was carried off to captivity and his sons were killed. The anointed one, the Son of David, was cut off, and never again would there be a Son of David sitting on the throne of Israel. But the line of David continued, whether you look at it by right of succession as Matthew 1 did or by biological inheritance as Luke 3. Jesus the Messiah is the legitimate Son of David ruler over Israel and the entire earth. Isaiah 9.

@@hm4084 The 7-year time of the Gentiles is explored in more depth in Revelation, focusing on the 3.5-year interval following the erection of the abomination of desolation. This period is described in great detail from Revelation 11-19. Of particular interest is Revelation 13 which describes the antichrist Beast out of the Sea and the false prophet Beast out of the Earth that are given dominion during the 3.5-year span, but which I maintain is in fact 3.5 x 365 years.

@@hm4084 Besides Revelation, the antichrist ruler alluded to at the end of Daniel 9 is portrayed in more detail by Daniel 7 and Daniel 11. He is the little horn that grows out of and displaces 3 horns of the Roman empire. Being a little horn he has a massive inferiority complex but has been given dominion over the earth and is alowed to speak out against God, to oppress the saints, and to come up with a new religion, changing the set laws and times of the old. Daniel 7:25

I accidentally posted this on another one of your videos, so I will post it again here: In my view, the troubling parts of the Hadith consistently oversteps, stains, and corrupts Islam. Most of the Islamic issues throughout the world today can be traced straight to Hadith and not the Qur'an. If the Qur'an had the final say, and the Hadith were not used for laws, rules, traditions, etc., most of the world would come to Islam. Not showing images of the prophet (and murdering people for doings so), covering the head of women (and not the bosom like the Qur'an says), the hatred and disgust towards dogs (even though they were companions in the Qur'an), killing apostates and nonbelievers (Qur'an says only fight in self defense), jihad to force conversion to Islam (when the Qur'an states there is no compulsion in religion), stoning for adultery (even in case of rape if the poor woman has no witnesses), throwing homosexuals from buildings, women being lesser than men, disallowing dance and music, etc. The list goes on and on, and they ALL come back to the Hadith and the jurisprudence around them. The Hadith has some good parts of course (cleanliness, prayer, etc.), but it has so much that is simply not of Islam, but of the desires of men that lived amongst constant tribal warfare and power struggles 1400 years ago - there is simply no place for such barbarism in our modern world. I hope for a day when Hadith are no longer held above the Qur'an, or even equal to it for that matter. They should be read with absolute scrutiny, and while reading them, one should ask themselves questions such as the following - "is this of God or is this of man? Does this spread love and peace? Does this promote equality and human dignity? Does this promote unprovoked violence and barbarism? Does this ask me to take Allah's place in judgement of another human being (capital punishment)? Does this promote the worship of prophets over Allah?" and so on. I fell in love with Islam when I was younger, but was driven farther and farther away each time I read Hadith. Since they are held in the absolute highest regard by most Muslims of today, I simply can not call myself "Muslim", and neither would most of today's Muslims. Therefore, these days I simply read the Qur'an and only the Qur'an, and no longer care for having the approval of traditional Muslims - let Allah label me as he sees fit, as Allah knows our hearts fully and completely. I wonder how many other brothers and sisters would come to Islam were it not for the draconian jurisprudence and traditions that exist only from the interpretations of and reliance upon Hadith. Moving away from them would bring Islam into a second golden age. I know traditionalists will say "you can't understand the context of the Qur'an without Hadith" - Well, that's a direct argument against what the Qur'an states (S6:38, S6:114-115, S12:111, S16:89). If you think yourself powerful and high enough to argue with Allah, then I needn't bother arguing with you. I also know that others will say "how would you know how to perform salah?" - like I said, if there exists something in the Hadith that is beautiful, promotes unity, and spreads the love of Allah, then it should absolutely be honored and implemented. But if any contents encourage transgression of the message of the Qur'an and work to sow corruption, evil, hatred, bigotry, division, compulsion, or any other unholy practice, those should be considered shirk. I also realize that most traditionalists covet S4:59, but they forget that everything Allah directed to Muhammad that was necessary for mankind was included in the Qur'an. How easily we forget, and how easily our judgements are clouded by worldly desires (greed, power, control, corruption, desire). Peace and love to all.

The Islamic world like all worlds has had it's great times and not so great, but like many peoples the Islamic world does not understand is the most important fact of all time. That being the fact that Jesus was God Himself manifest in human flesh. His sole purpose in manifesting in human flesh was the sacrifice of the cross, upon which he did what no man could do. Jesus paid the price our sin nature deserved; through his sacrifice we can receive forgiveness of sin. Jesus was born of a virgin, the only man in all history to ever be born without the sin stained blood of a human father. Jesus was the only man that could pay that high price our sin judgment demanded, a sinless man paying the price for all sinful humanity, the only acceptable sacrifice demanded by an absolutely Holy God.
