Folks. At 20.23 you mentioned a plan. That's EXACTLY what you need. A plan. Sit at that lovely bar you have, with a bottle of wine (or something)and work out what you need to do to do, and when. I'm inspired by yours (and your brother's) dedication, however your lack of planning gets right on my *****. 😀😀 Work out what you need to do and do it. Don't keep the junk. The trunk section is not pretty you’ll see what I mean when the leafs fall off. The tree is just way too big and producing smaller figs because of its size. Maybe ugly wasn’t the best choice of words 😎👍🏼

Using more of the stationary camera shots and less of the selfie stick shots is probably the way to go. The selfie stick stuff is pretty annoying, but it will take more planning if you use stationary cameras. Actually, you (James) do a pretty good job with the selfie stick in general, as long as you don't keep swinging it around.

The tree is lovely, but way too big. Especially with the house so close. Cutting it back will help with its growth and its long life. The figs weren’t as big this year or as plentiful due to its size. You’ll have to trust us on this one. Thanks for watching and the comment. ❤️

U need to make a circle around all the fruit trees because the grass uses up the nutriments which should go into the trees. Also makes it easier for watering around the trees.

IMHO, you should use the metal arch to grow passion fruit! It would be perfect for it, and would give you lots of access to the fruit. Re: your fig tree- the new, small branches produce next years crops only- anything bigger than two inch diameter can be pruned. If you cut it back hard, please don’t be shocked that you don’t get many figs the next season! Lots of you tube videos on pruning fig trees- there is one from a gentleman on Vancouver Island in Canada that is very good! Cheers to you both! Love the lights! Cleaning up a place takes time, be easy on Yourselves!

Have you guys heard of ProjectKamp there in Portugal? They have YT channel and a website. Its a community of like-minded people who have purchased a huge plot of land there and they are dedicated to living in an self-sufficient, sustainable way. I'm assuming that you end up discarding many items that you have no use for, and I know that they could probably repurpose a lot that stuff, and keep it out of the landfill. Just a suggestion. 😉

Hi, yes you can burn, but you have to inform the fire brigade. Summer you can’t burn anything or use strimmers etc

James don't worry about the camera moving. Don't think you can really help it if you're showing all the things that need to be done in a specific space. You'd need multiple cameras propped up all over the place I think. Just do what you would naturally do. Much more authentic :-)
