Looks nice, except the headlights are mismatched. If you look closely, the left headlight has more space below, to the bumper, than the right and rises more as well. Besides that, though, it's a fine improvement.

For sure, agree. Haven’t even started the video yet but if it’s the same as the thumbnail then he ruined it lmao. M2 has the same tear drop headlight shapes inspired by the 1 series and same rear tail light style. Along with being coupe only with fairly short wheel base for its width

yeah, quality and attention to detail seems to have dropped too for the redesigns, or maybe i'm just getting used to seeing him take the lazy route of just wiping away the designs of cars and slapping on parts from newer cars over it rather than adapt the design and its proportions (especially a problem for when he modernizes older cars, they just look a little too small usually) for modern times, i don't know if he's trying to cut down on time for the next video, or if it's cause it's become something like a routine for him, but i know he can do better than he shows in recent videos, after all he's studied car design for years and has great understanding of the theory behind it, he is a professional

Sorry, but I think BMW got this right the first time. Your redesign is good, just BMW is just way better. They nailed it , the proportions are near perfect for this little motor. It just looked fantastic from every angle. Love this car.

front end uses straight lines going across, sides use curvy/wavy lines. they are inconsistent with one another in redesign. wheels also should have been changed to something darker or black. other than that pretty cool i guess

I swapped the the rims on mine for black ones from turner motor sport they go really well with Valencia orange. I had an audi rs 3 2018 I test drove the 1 M couldn’t get rid the audi quick enough. It’s an incredible car .

I think the left headlight is the proper design, right headlight red border at far right, does not follow contour of the LED. Love watching your videos

I did like the more "friendly" as you said headlights on that car but that's just preference. However, there's something wrong with the bottom grill and the left headlight, their perspective is a bit broken

The proportions are still spot on and I love that concave area under the upper sideline crease. Nevertheless, switching from 1M to M2 was one of the least disappointing changes in recent BMW design history.

ignoring the M, the first gen 1 series only had one problem in my eyes that most euro sport cars deal with, too chonky (My beloved C30 T5 is guilty as well) the interior felt a bit enveloping with how bubbly it felt. Other than that, a good starter car for someone who disregards speed laws on twisting country roads

The F87 M2 and its variants were a great followup to the 1M. Now the G87 is upon us and ... what the hell happened at BMW design??!!! First the G80/G82, now the next M2. Not at all happy with the direction they've taken.

The 1M was an ugly, slab sided, sad-faced, stumpy rear, not even that fast, numb steering, shitty ride, overhyped car. The ONLY reason people who have never even driven one let alone owned one, cream their fangirl panties over it, is because it is rare. The OG M2 was a better car in EVERY way. It's proportions are perfect, a very pretty car. The ride, handling, balance, dynamics, all better than the 1M. The M2C was better still.
