It would be very hard to implement such a thing in the game in a realistic way, considering celts were Christian since before the Anglo-Saxons even arrived.

A celtic flavour pack could expand things like the high kingship of Ireland and the clans of Scotland but a celtic/druidic religion overhaul would be pointless given that celtic indigenous religions were basically extinct by both start dates in ck3

I love how people are bitching about Celtic Paganism meanwhile we already have Zunism and Hellenism in the game both of which are already extinct by the start date. That's because it's a generic religion in the game (also why the holy sites are so spread out). Just like in CK2 it's a placeholder religion used to represent the native religions in Brittannia, as well as Arabia (and a few other areas I suspect). Hopefully they'll add in the last missing religions in the newar future and will be able to retire generic paganism.

Challenge Suggestion: Make Egypt Egyptian Again. Starting as a sub-Saharan Kushite, work your way north to the Nile and restore the Empire of Ancient Egypt. I’m doing this challenge myself and it’s a tough one, since all your neighbors tend to hate you. Requirements: -Start as a Kushite of any rank or culture -Eventually convert to Nubian or Egyptian culture -Form a fusion culture of Egyptian and Nubian to better reflect the culture of Ancient Egypt -Make Coptic your official language -Eventually reform Kushitism to make it better reflect Ancient Egyptian religion -Conquer all lands that were once part of the Egyptian Empire If anyone can do this, it’s you!

Eh, we're pretty confident they were a brittonic celtic people.
@faisalal-qassem37582 жыл бұрын
@@rueisblue At the latter end of their existence, they were certainly speaking a Celtic language. There are still a number of Ogham inscriptions in areas that we think that they inhabited that still haven't been translated because (so far) they don't make any sense if you treat them as if they were Goidelic or Brythonic. At the same time there are a number of stones that pretty clearly are a Brythonic language that resembles an early form of Welsh, which has lead to some speculation as to the ethnic homogeneity of the "Picts" as early and modern historiographers know them. There are some second hand accounts that the Picts described themselves as invaders from (of all places) Scythia who ended up settling in the northeast of Scotland because the Irish wouldn't welcome them onto Ireland, and that they came into some kind of agreement with the neighboring Gaels to take wives from them in exchange for some kind of agreement about succession rules. Personally this sounds a lot like some early medieval Romaboo was trying to give them a Trojan-like origin story a la The Aenead, but I would also not be surprised if there were indeed some remnants of old Europeans like the Basque or Etruscans still running about as late as the 4th century up there. Tldr: Later Picts were definitely speaking a Celtic language, but it's much less clear that was uniformly the case earlier in their history given how diverse the material archeological culture is there.
