Windows Vista gets more hate than it deserves. I actually think its a fine operating system. Its kinda just Windows 7 but less good.

Youre right. As a matter of fact everything after Vista is just Vista with more shit added to it. Under the hood Vista is NT6, 7 is NT6.1, 8 is NT6.whatever, 10 and 11 got renamed NT10 but they are still actually just NT6, ergo, Vista. It’s all Vista, rebranded, remarketed, sold over and over again to clueless normies. Vista never left.
