Test drove this car and surprisingly the car is very fun to drive and ride quality is excellent. Despite bhp being cut down and one cylinder as well,the car feels peppy and powerful enough and that 3 cyl thrum is quite sporty and only at above 4000 rpm. Booked zxi red AGS on 29 Nov still waiting…

@@pranavjs ive driven around 20 kms and i beat the shit out of it. I did with 3 people on board and pushed the car to the limits. Acceleration, braking, cornering , body rolls everything is well engineered and the suzuki engineers hav done a very good job and it drives and feels like an entirely new different car has nothing to do with older gens. Amt gear shifts are smooth which only bcomes noticeable above 4k rpms. Below that rev range shifts are very smooth. AMTs have come a long way from that old laggy shifts.

I've driven the 4th gen and 3rd gen Dzire petrols back to back and the new engine is a deal breaker for me, unfortunately. The engine felt dead to me vs the old car. Five people onboard and the old car (with almost one lac kms on the odometer) pulled effortlessly (uphill as well) while the new one felt super stressed. It was like I had to absolutely strangle the poor thing to make any sort of progress. And this was a LOOOONG test drive, mind you. Not a short 1-2 kms one. I think they compromised on the engine front to make up for the additional cost in improving the build quality. I checked the Team bhp review to see if it was only me, and I saw they arrived at the same conclusion I did. This is not like the 1.2 cars of before, this is not made for enthusiasts.

Analog rpm and tacho are way cooler in my opinion. All other settings are digital.

Not at all. This is the best ergonomic design in a sub 4 metre sedan. Ameo, Amaze, Xcent, Tigor,etc all looked ugly finished, because they had to do it under 4m

Sorry to say... your first translation comments in line of "Sheet quality" for two minutes ....... was a downer... didn't expect this childish observation, from an experienced reviewer. In Basics ....You can make the panel "un bendable" by making some design changes ... adding ribs etc. Doesn't imply the part is thick'ned or the quality has improved. MS won't do this, in view of mileage and keeping the car light. The focus should rather be on the platform / structural integrity, the cost of replacements and how long before the Maruti Service Center crooks would start milking you dry.

They compromised on the engine to improve the build quality. Now, the dzire is built better any other dzire before it, but the new 3 cylinder motor is a dead engine. Test drove new dzire and 3rd gen 1.2 back to back, old one was much quicker.

CVT is Costly as compared to AMT, also mileage and maintenance matters. And Suzuki tries to bring value for money cars to Indian Customers. I'm a manual lover. Now I'm using Baleno AMT, and it's quite good, from the previous generations of AMT.
