Evening friends! I was just proof watching this review and I wanted to clarify what I meant when I said that this lip product wasn't "opaque", because it looks really bold and opaque on camera. Essentially it's a very pigmented thin lip product that gives a really even bright red effect on the lips but it doesn't completely blank out the lips like most liquid lipsticks do, you can see some of the lip underneath almost like how you would with a stain. I realised it was a weird way of describing the overall effect, because if you step back it gives an opaque red effect to the lips. Have a great weekend! ❤

I’m excited to watch this! I want to see you review (if it’s in Australia) the new Maybelline vinyl lips since it comes in an orangey red. It’s supposed to be a glossy stain. I have a greige nude and a brown nude and while they certainly don’t last as long as the red, they are fabulous for an evening out, etc… Much more comfortable than other brands I have tried that offer the same promises.

I’ve tried 4 of the long wear 2 part lipsticks, Revlon, L’Oréal, Covergirl and Rimmel. I threw 3 of them out and I’m on my second Rimmel one. I really like it for when I don’t want to touch up during the day and it doesn’t make my lips feel f@&ked. 😂

Hi Kat, I was wondering if you've tried the nyx loud liquid lipstick (with the gloss) and how that compares to this one? I bought the red one and first time loved how long wearing it was but the second time I wore it I pressed my lips together and it was so insanely sticky and just chunked off, it was so uncomfortable. Reapplying it was a big mistake too. I'm hoping to get my hands on something similar like the Maybelline Liquid Vinyl Ink (which apparently isn't coming to australia because the TGA hasn't approved one of the ingredients), or the Haus Labs Shake Lip Lacquer (which is sold out on their website). I still have to wear N95s at work (I work in infectious disease) and I'm desperate to wear red lipstick again. Thanks! From another Kat

Hi fellow Kat! No I haven't used the NYX one but that sounds very similar to my experiences with those typical double ended long wear lip products. Unless you drench them in the balm/gloss/top coat they are super sticky and feel horrible. This one is a lot better! There is some tackiness and some transfer but overall it gives a really long wear effect without too much hassle. I want to try the Maybelline one too (if it eventually releases here), but I gather this one is probably quite similar in the concept ❤

I have 001 "Your Go-To" and 007 "Partner in Crime." I'm in the US and not sure if the names/numbers are different in other countries, but on my fair complexion I would say 001 is definitely a lighter nude and 007 is a sort of medium rosy shade. They both seem to have nice longevity. I'm pretty tolerant of the "feeling" of having a lip product on, so these have not bothered me. They are definitely not transfer proof, and small amounts come off inside a mask. Does anyone know of any other fair/light nudes that are long wearing? The Tony Moly ones look like a nice formula, but I rarely wear brights. These Revlon ones are nice IMO, but I'm always looking for the "perfect" lip, LOL.

I have this, it moisturizes and I love the shades, but it is not transfer-proof. It transferred onto my coffee cup and travelled under my bottom lip after lunch.

I don’t think it dries out my lips too much. At the 6-7 hour mark, I add a clear gloss.

I really like the tony moly more too but that one you have to be super careful with the teeth because I find it stains the teeth if you aren’t careful…maybe it just user error😂

You definitely have to let the stain completely dry before you fully close your mouth otherwise it can get on your teeth, you’re completely correct!

Do you think it's comparable to the Tony Moly shockingly lip tints??? Ok watched the rest of the video 📹 and it's a nope!!!

I do give a quick comparison to them in the conclusion but they are very different formulas but can give a similar effect on the lips initially. This is like a very thin liquid lipstick that coats your lips (and almost feels like paint), and the Tony Moly tints feel a lot thinner on the lips and they leave a stain. So the initial effect on the lips is similar but they feel completely different and wear off very differently too :)
