So the hyaluronic acid: It could be because you're using hyaluronic acid as the final step, so rather than the hyaluronic acid making the water from your skincare soak in deeper, and then being sealed in, it's sitting on top so is drawing the moisture out. Especially as Australia is so dry! hyaluronic acid needs moisture to absorb, but if you're applying it on dry, and there's no moisture in the air to absorb, it's just going to absorb the moisture *out* of your skin

Australia is so dry? Girl I don't know where you live but in Sydney it's been raining non stop for months and the humidity is at 90% lol I believe Kat is in Victoria so I highly doubt it's dry there

@@virgismar Yeah that was surprising to me! Our coastal areas, where most people live, are generally very humid but I think inland Australia is pretty dry - maybe that's OP's experience? The stuff about hyaluronic acid still applies; it's best followed/combined with an occlusive to seal moisture in or else it could end up drawing moisture out of your skin. Anyway, I find that when it's humid, people spend more time indoors in aircon/heating so still a lot of dryness in the air they inhabit

Congratulations! Just had my second and I think both our toddlers are around the same age. I laughed every time someone said I was going to have a nice rest on mat leave 😂😂😂

Yay!!! so happy for you and your family. Going from one to two kids sounds scary but for me at least my second was so much better than my experience with my first. I felt a lot more confident with everything. And then #3 was a downright breeze. Hope you have the same experience. We'll miss your uploads!

Thanks! I will still be around, I will probably take some time to film while my partner is on leave.. because when he goes back to work things will be crazy. I'm hoping #2 will slot in well, I hear that a lot of people either have a hard first and an easy second and it slots in nicely, or they have an easy first and then have a rude awakening with a difficult second. I had a pretty demanding first baby so I am hoping this one will be a breeze in comparison haha.

Congratulations Kat! No idea you were expecting but I’m happy for you and your family! I love the Loreal serum foundation because it’s one of the few foundations that I don’t need to powder on my normal/combination skin. And I found using my fingers to apply to let the product blend into the skin so it looks natural with light dewy finish. I save the By Terry setting powder for my more dewy foundations. I hope that helps!

Congratulations! I also couldn't do with the L'Oreal foundation so now I just use it as a mix in. I also found that it works better over freshly applied moisturizing primer (like the good molecules primer)

Your review of the Glaminatrix palette is what finally pushed me over the edge to order. I've followed them for years & the price always put me off, not knowing if they'd be worth it for me. But I love it so far! There's something about the tones in it that make it different enough from other palettes I have & it's really pigmented yet easy to blend.

When I swatched that L’Oréal serum foundation I noticed how dry it was in comparison to the more glowy skincare-like tint I imagined it would be. I’m glad my gut reaction was on the money. I have my hopes on the Haus labs foundation now. Would love to see you review it in time for summer 🇦🇺

Yeah there is no such thing as rest with a toddler or newborn, and both is going to be a challenge! I haven't had an uninterrupted sleep for nearly 2.5 years, so I have no idea how people think it's a relaxing time haha!
