If you separate those sections into smaller sections it will be easier to smooth out the roots and the rest of the length. The thing to watch out for is that the heat from the hot air can heat up the ceramic base so much that it actually reaches higher degrees like a curling iron. So as long as you keep it moving and using the twisting motion you will get results that look like a roller set and the natural curls should not be damaged. Using the cold air first doesn't actually protect the hair in any way from the heat that is then applied right after. We need the heat to break the hydrogen bonds to change the texture and then to cool it so it will stay in the new shape. Blasting it with cool air first will not strengthen it or change the shape. It is an unnecessary step that will take more time. If you have heat protectant on the hair and you don’t hold it in place or pass it too many times through each section then it will not cause damage, and if you use smaller sections then you will find that it goes quickly because each section will be heated and smoothed more efficiently, taking less time to dry and polish each section :-)

This is BEAUTIFUL. i love your hair. I have kinda sorta thin, wavy-curly hair, but they're VERY frizzy. I've seen all three of your videos- the revlon one, hot tools and this one. Of the three, which one would you recommend a beginner? Also, is the hot tools better than root booster?

Hi Sharlene, do you recommend this one or the oval one step brush but in the smaller size (they have a newer model for short hair with a smaller barrel)? so basically is the oval design better if it was in a smaller version or this round barrel is better and easier to use? Do you know the wattage in both? I think the oval models are higher in wattage so will dry quicker maybe?

Hey Noha and company. Soooo I have heard things about the new and improved Revlon Pro brush but I haven’t been able to get my hands on it yet unfortunately. My answer varies on the length of your hair. I’d say if you have medium to short hair then you could totally get a great blowout with the root booster. If you have medium to long hair I’d go with the oval. The reason for that is it could take FOREVER to do it with the root booster if you have longer hair (and who wants that? 😉). As for the wattage, I honestly have 0 clue but they should have something on their website. Hope this helped! Also, now I have to snag myself the Pro Revlon. So many devices and such little time!

Beautiful curls.... I have the one step original hair dryer and I can't get my hair to curl like that... I have extremely thick naturally curly hair and in the fall/winter months I have to use an air dry and detangling spray on my hair because it takes 2 and a half days for my hair to completely dry in the fall/winter months.... I would love to use this new revlon hair dryer to dry and curl my hair with less heat damage instead of using 2 heat tools causing alot of heat damage to my hair.... Yes I do use a heat protection spray Everytime I do use heat tools

Hey Stacey. It does take a little getting use to make the hair flip. Little tip, just keep twirling the device as you’re brushing it towards your ends. Maybe I should do a little tutorial video? 🤔🤔. Just a reminder to use cool air first and then finish with heat. You got this!!

I think you need a hair spray?
@mariap76872 жыл бұрын
I have 3a/3b hair type. I set my hair by applying a little bit of oil after I finish blow drying it or ironing it. Usually I like to blow dry it and with a flat iron just pass it through my roots real quick and not too hot. After I’m done, I like to use a wide head band to flatten or to appease my frizzy hair. Also, I like to roll my hair in a bun so when I let it loose, the ends will look wavy and fun rather than just flat. If that doesn’t work I a 100% recommend the Alfaparf keratin therapy kit. It’s like $43 on Amazon. The treatment you can DIY at home and it will losen down your curls and for suuure it will remove frizz! I have been using that product for YEARS and I have never had a single issue with it. I do the treatment twice a year! If you end up doing the treatment, if you use a flat iron during the procedure it will make your hair as straight as possible (which could be damaging I think) so just using a blow dryer or low heat iron is enough! This will save you time everyday and your hair will always be shiny and soft ✨

@SharleneR3 жыл бұрын
Aw thank you both for giving a watch and subscribing. When you say gentle do you mean that it doesn’t tug my hair or strip it? If so, then yes. I actually find myself wanting a little more tension as I blowdry it. Just be sure to start with cool air and then go to low because even the low gets HOT.
