BMW G 310 GS is a adventure bike available at a starting price of Rs. 3,37,733 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 3 colours. The BMW G 310 GS is powered by 313cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 33.52 bhp and a torque of 28 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, BMW G 310 GS comes up with anti-locking braking system. This G 310 GS bike weighs 175 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 11 liters.
The 2020 BMW G 310 GS features an all-LED headlamp as well as LED turn indicators that are different from the ones on the TVS Apache RR 310. This LED setup makes the the baby GS look a bit more muscular from the front.
BMW has also added interesting new paint schemes to the G 310 GS’ palette. This Rallye paint scheme consists of a blue and silver colour with bright red trellis frame and graphics. You can also have the ‘40 Years Edition’ colour combination of black and yellow or the Polar White paint scheme.
Powered the 2020 G 310 GS is a BS6-compliant, 313cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 34bhp at 9,500rpm and 28Nm at 7,500rpm. However, it now benefits from an assist and slipper clutch that prevents the rear wheel from hopping under downshifts. As part of the update, the motorcycle also gets adjustable clutch and brake levers. Furthermore, it is also equipped with a ride-by-wire throttle but surprisingly doesn’t offer ride modes like its TVS counterpart.
The anchoring setup on the G 310 GS BS6 includes a 300mm disc and a 240mm rotor at the front and the back, respectively; while the safety net comprises of dual-channel ABS. The suspension tasks are handled by 41mm upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back.
In terms of competition it goes up against the KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
