Because engines are actually very cheap to manufacture, the amount of just the copper used in the electronic motor could easily be 4 times more expensive than an aluminium engine. BTW this bike way too cheap, not that I could afford it either but what you get for this price is really outstanding. Like for the value, in my district/state people on an average spend ₹300 per week (for in city use only) just for their motorcycle's petrol (my city is well networked and everything within few kilometers of reach, thus it is less since one spends at least ₹500 per week at other larger places). This bike costs me ₹16.96 per week (accurately calculated), if you round off the estimates you save about 25 times more than a similar bike at same cost. Also since this bike has a lot less physical mechanical parts, it is way less likely to breakdown than a ICE bike.

In my opinion it is not wise to buy these electric two wheelers. These companies do not have the capacity to promise durability of their units. In a few years an owner might have to discard his bike like we do with our smartphones. These companies should think about a simpler battery system where one kind of battery can be used in all the electric vehicles. Until then it would be wise to be sceptical about all these Chinese products.
