Stretch and Bobbito did some really good interviews that are worth checking out, on Kweli's People's Party, Juan Epstein Podcast, and on 247HH. I was actually hoping that Stretch would be in this interview, or at least talked about much more. He played a pretty substantial role in The War Report. The original vinyl singles were pressed because Stretch put up the money for it that he borrowed from his parents. Tragedy use to have Thanksgiving dinner at Stretch's family's house.

"War report, cut your life short, Beirut niggas ain't ready for bloodsport. Yo we masked up, pointing the heat, duck taping her. Gag her mouth so she can't scream start......." That line let me know that CNN was the absolute realest group ever. Tragedy reminds me of the Rza in terms of his under appreciated lyrics and ability to rhyme. He’s all loud and trying to dominate the conversation made this CNN anniversary special a little awkward. It’s not a good look when you’re middle aged and can’t have a conversation without being all insecure and emotional. Tragedy definitely resents something about N.O. and my personal opinion is that he just can’t believe how big N.O. got WITHOUT him. This episode got cringy at times because of Tragedy mishearing or misunderstanding what’s said. Congrats CNN on 25 years and here’s to 25 more 🍻

I miss the good ole days of Hip Hop when music was fun! Technology destroyed the ORGANIC relationship process, took away the anticipation of the build that came with an artist presenting his/her project to the world 🌎. We actually used to have real connections with the artists and enjoyed attending album releases and the performances of their masterpieces. That Street Team Marketing was a magical era.

What Busta said about Dre is very true and major 💎💎💎. Getting your ego out of that way to get the game to the next level and at the same time building a legacy like no other without having to compete with anyone or feel like he was roobing anyone of anything.
@darrellglover4932 жыл бұрын
I liked the Dre example. However, the only main difference is that everyone views Dre as a producer first. Even Dre views himself more as a producer than an individual rap artist. Maybe a more perfect example is maybe J. Cole. He's a major and successful rap artist but runs a successful record label with artists spreading from NC, Atlanta, New York, Chicago and LA.... and DC if you want to include Ari Lennox. And everyone's eating while Cole still getting his without jerking anyone.
@mustafaquran23302 жыл бұрын
Don't forget Jcole Produced a lot of material respectfully he did like 85% of his first album if I'm not mistaken and did joints for other artists too go check the catalog credits

Trag is a legend in his own right being the junior member of juice crew circumstance prevented him from being the artist that he wanted to be.... He influenced the generation after him such as nas mobb deep and cnn.... I give props to him but you could see the hate and bitterness that he possess and it's sad that he never got over it... If he is able to look at all the successful mcs outta QB he influenced them...

Capone speech abt his mom passing b4 he served time n his daughter graduating college shows Gods glory in his life 😢. Busta dropped gems; and Tragedy wears his heart on his sleeves and like he said everyone knows where he stands as opposed to someone who while hide their hand. He is official and sometimes those emotions may not be understood but I am sure war report would have not came out n everyone would b in different spaces in life if he didn’t have such deep rooted feelings/emotions

Prime example of everyone can’t go where you’re headed. Tragedy is definitely his name. You can tell Nore is happy where he’s at in life. Tragedy thinks that Nore is putting a stain on his name. When it’s Tragedy that’s doing it to himself. He’s like 50 years old & still can’t have adult convos. He’s still 23 years old.

10 things to quit for all Strong Men: 1. Caring about what others think 2. Not believing in yourself 3. Not experimenting different ideas / solutions for problems (life&business) 4. Not prioritizing your health 5. Wasting your precious time 6. Wanting something (instead write a plan and work towards it) 7. Chasing meaningless relationships 8. Wasting or draining your energy from beating your meat 🥩 9. Wasting time by scrolling social media 10. Nailbiting/nailpicking habit for good (if you do it - consider stopping it as it makes you mentally weak + affects your confidence and all other areas of your life!) Take it easy and I hope you found one thing helpful in this list.

Yes ALL of those are great descriptions &, can ALL be summed up bye ONE common demoninator = *"Dissolving the EGO"!!!* The EGO is also called the "FALSE Self" or "Shadow Self" ALL of one's issues in life come from YOU (our self) but, the EGO Reflects & Deflects EVERYthing as it is OTHERS or something being done ONTO us RATHER THAN seeing the connection that ALL external is tethered to us Internally like an Infinite WEB! This is why our Relationships show us ourSELves soo WELL &, the CLOSER the relationship the more difficult it can be when NOT understanding the True Self. This can get soo Extreme to where people even contemplate murdering/killing their spouse (Or even parents or children... when one really LOSE's their mind) and its ALL an inability to DEAL with the Factitious Self (Ego) *LOVE*
