I moved to a new neighborhood and was being recruited by some gangs and was going to join but this song was on heavy on the radio and I felt like it was talking to me and telling me don't go that way and I didn't. I heard Face's lyrics on 'mind playing tricks on me' for the first time when I was 18 years old. I was in a mental institution and my mom had died of a heart attack 6 months earlier. I remember walking around the closed outside area of the facility, listening to his lyrics all the time. It gave me strength because it felt like I could relate. You would never know he was going through kidney issues at a time in his life. I cant speak for everybody but i do know most folks in my family was caused by liquor and bad food.
