Ryan Leslie’s old videos showing him in the studio making music were so inspirational for me on so many levels.

First of all, this dude is in the top 3 of the most criminally underrated artists/musical minds in HISTORY. Been a fan since that NE record. But what's messing me up (IN A GOOD WAY) about this conversation is the fact that Ryan was able to point every answer to the questions back to his objective of financial/music/technology education. Dude is a GENIUS.

@@luckylavar9051 Fair point, but I think even someone with the musical visionary skills of Ryan Leslie would’ve had an uphill battle with Cassie and I could make the case he actually took her to her max ceiling given how lackluster she was across the board in just about every artist category. Her absolute peak selling point opportunity was that “Official Girl” moment when she was most aesthetically in her youthful prime at the tail end of the Apex-Pop Era between 2006-2009 when having a unique look with a nice visual spin could easily amplify a career provided the right A&R team. Her problem was it happened to be at the same time you had strong solo careers of a Nelly Furtado, Keri Hilson, Fergie, a rising Rihanna, Gaga and Stefani to name a few…No way she could possibly standout in a environment with that type of talent. At absolute best she could’ve been a Tinashe (who is light years more talented) 😏
