Had the honor of battling Kurupt one night in a Philly club. Studio 37 on Broad and Erie. He was preparing for the release of his first album. The double cd. Kuruption. We went about 20-30 minutes straight. Another dude tried to get in, Kurupt was like naw . Him pointing at me every beat that came on we went back and forth, to a draw. THE REASON THE DOGG POUND IS SUCCESSFUL TO THIS DAY IS BECAUSE THEIR MUSIC AND OTHER THINGS OUTSIDE OF MUSIC IS AUTHENTIC AND REAL. THEY HAD BUILT A FANBASE ON CONSISTENCY AND WASN'T BEING SWAYED INTO SOUNDING LIKE EVERY ARTIST WHO KNOWS I COULD BE WRONG. I PRAY ONE DAY THAT MY MUSIC CAN TOUCH THE MASSES LIKE DOGG POUND AND THAT IT CAN HOPEFULLY BECOME TIMELESS FOR MORE YEARS AND GENERATIONS TO COME SO WITH THAT BEING SAID I'M ALWAYS GONNA BE A BIG FAN OF DOGG POUND I'VE ALWAYS HAD AND I'LL ALWAYS WILL BE.
