When they make this full multiplayer, the key choice will be, shall we take everyone into a age I like, or shall we chose the worse age for everyone to allow my opponents to suffer more than me. I think I know Duncan's choice, you can even let another get the landmarks if you want age of heroes.

Duncan needs a medal for continuously steering them towards the end of the game, I think Lewis would've happily stayed in LEGO mode lol

would of liked to see the game go on for longer by not attacking the other continent and building up and fully colonising their continent

@@foggy9900 I also enjoyed the statecraft practice they had going on, but it's better they save the in-depth look at those systems for the second or third let's play of the game.

I like how Duncan had this fatalism toward heading down the darkest timeline like he wasn't consistently calling for blood the entire game "This world's been a dystopia from the beginning. When I saw 'Age of Blood' and thought, 'ooh, I could do with a spot of massacre, couldn't I?'"

I was really expecting one of the revolutions to kick off and screw them over before they won. It spawns some pretty good rebel armies across all your empire, im not sure how it triggers but you cant pay it off like a crisis event. Wouldve probably meant that free england would have taken over most of the map because they didnt garrison troops at their vassals. Edit: it takes 8 turns for rebels to spawn after they entered the age and they were on 5 or 6 (not sure if it counts the same turn the tech got researched) PS: you can hold ctrl while attacking so your troops attack without moving to the tile afterwards if they won, really nice for defending cities

Lewis' immortal joke was really good. I thought age of revolution was supposed to be around the industrial revolution (late 1700s and not WWI) but with early tanks being in there I don't know anymore.

1760 to 1840, but it's fair to say that there was a lasting burn for quite a while after that, as the new technology was unrefined. WW1 was when it had all trickled down to warfare at large.

You could have started sending resources between cities much earlier, you just skipped over the early game tech/building that allows it and so didn't unlock that option until like 2-3 eras later

You know what I think the fact they didn't use leaders is a good lesson, in that you don't need to listen to the haters to succeed in life(even if it means your life was much harder and difficult as a result)

@@kmaster30 noooo its not. first off nobody i have ever known has ever once mentioned (or even thought about) the most famous recorder musician in the world, bringing any imagined "fame" in to question rendering any perceived "success" a purely imaginary concept. but in a more grounded perspective, the wisdom of the ages DOES matter. you dont cut down trees with hammers because everyone knows that is what a SAW is for (or an axe), we cook meat before we eat it so we dont get sick, you dont plant seeds in the middle of winter. in general doing things in the stupidest way possible WILL end in disaster or death. in the words of blade "some mother fuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill".

Should have kept the warfare exp for the tree upgrades, instead of using it to spawn units. You could have very easily used the money you had to rush units everywhere. The amount of times I heard you both say "money is useless" during this playthrough has been crazy.

In my experiance, vassals are good for 2 things, money and improvement points.

This was a super fun series! I bought this game after watching the first couple of episodes, and I have had a blast playing it-there are so many different ways to play and specialize! I’m looking forward to seeing you guys play another game. I think the one tip I have (that you didn’t figure out on your own throughout the playthrough) is that it can be really valuable to research techs from a previous age, especially if you are ahead on science. You get big discounts researching techs from previous eras, and it’s often worth going back and grabbing more than the minimum number you needed to progress an age.

I’ve never played this game, but I find the comments from people who have saying how terribly Lewis and Duncan played perplexing. They conquered the entire world, didn’t they? They can’t have been playing that badly.

@@aliensinnoh1 ..ON EASY! also using an old build, without actually comprehending a single fucking word they read, and with about 1/3 more clicks than were really needed. you can make a LOT of money sucking dicks, its just not really the correct way to earn a living.
