@@Strangepete I know, I feel ya. I've only been 'on the train of thought' with TZM and RBE for about 10 years, I believe, but soon as I first saw the Zeitgeist films, my mind was blown open and never could I go back to seeing life through the eyes of the ridiculous establishment and their puppets who NEVER have the damn public discussion about how totally unsustainable our social system is right now. It's mind numbing that I've gone almost 40 years as a curious child to a still curious adult but I had to self-learn and find all this super obvious structural information that Peter and the other TAM-affiliates talk about. This was never mentioned to me in my daily conversations, in schools, at work, nothing. So, on that regard, I understand WHY so many people don't know. They quite literally have NEVER had anybody seriously present them with the facts, the hard truth, the scientific reality and then offer realistic alternatives to this mad system we were born in. If they are presented with it, often first reaction is just dismissal without further thought, that's frustrating and probably why there are more subscribers to a stupid Swedish yelling video game streamer than anything actually meaningful like TZMOfficialChannel or Moneyless Society. That said, I guess we could all do our part to share these videos, related books and articles and have more online and in-person conversations that get people thinking like this. I will say there are a lot of subscribers on YT channels that relate to the same Train of Thought that Peter talks about and if you put them all together there are millions. However they are spread out by channel and that makes things a bit more difficult. It would be nice to find a sizable online community app or discussion board that easily funnels the hundreds of thousands and millions of people familiar with TZM and RBE together.

Me too. My family thinks im nuts. Friends are hard to come by when most people think we are off our rockers. I try to take some comfort from the fact that we are many, despite appearances. I've been posting about ending the monetary system for awhile now. When I started, i almost never got positive responses. Then i got more positive responses than negative ones. Now i get almost no responses at all. Seems like maybe my comments are getting buried or becoming invisible to most people. I take that as a sign my views are becoming more acceptable to more people. And maybe that scares some people. Take heart, you are not alone!!!

Mass protests have escalated into violence due to the regulatory state's persistent inability to address issues concerning tax revenue and resource management. The continued lack of attention towards such critical issues has led to mounting frustration among citizens, ultimately culminating in violent outbursts as a means of expressing their grievances. Until these underlying issues are adequately addressed by the regulatory state, it is unlikely that the situation will significantly improve. Wearing their augmented reality and mixed reality glasses, people traversed the rubble and devastation, discovering their city from a fresh perspective. The glasses offered intel on landmarks and constructions, gave insight into the city's past, and allowed for virtual projections of how the city would appear upon being rebuilt. Additionally, they directed people through secure routes and hazards, navigating the city still in a state of disarray. The government employed the technology to deploy assistance and resources to those in dire situations. As the city continued to be reconstructed, the glasses remained instrumental in making progress. They enabled users to picture digital simulations of new structures to be raised, be previewed to the city's future appearances, and even supported virtual professional development programs. The glasses became a vital tool for people to establish an enhanced, thriving community. They embodied progress and hope, signifying technology's potential for creating change. Although the city found itself in challenging times, these innovative tools allowed the people to reconstruct and secure a brighter future for themselves and their loved ones. The riots and rebellions spreading across the city were spiraling out of control, as protestors demanded better living conditions and fundamental rights. The government failed to address the citizens' concerns and the protesters reached their breaking point. When the aerial attack started, pandemonium ensued in the city. People scattered in all directions to evade the hazardous cluster bombs. However, when the GPS-equipped assault weapons reached the rebels' hands, they started to slow down. They already knew they stood no chance against the progressive weaponry now at the people's disposal. The Communists had been devising this plan for months, anticipating the government's impotence and that citizens would eventually rise against it. They had covertly been training the rebels and supplying them with resources, waiting for the ideal time to strike. With the GPS-equipped assault weapons, the people held the upper hand. They fought back against the inequitable government and its militaristic army, with biometric authentication ensuring that only rightful owners could equip the weapons. In a brief span, the city was conquered by the rebels. The government departed, abandoning its weapons and gear. The Communists instantly took charge, promising the people a brighter future. The aerial assault had transformed the situation-swaying things in the people's favor-empowering them to combat authoritarianism and subjugation. It brought chaos to the streets but ultimately culminated in a new, democratic era. and begins to suck up debris, waste and other material to clear the way for the covert military operation. As the sun began to rise, the NGAD-6 fighter jets were already soaring through the skies, their stealth capabilities making them virtually invisible to the naked eye. The hybrid submarine aircraft carriers, armed and ready, were strategically positioned to face any threat from the incoming Communist Corporation. Meanwhile, the subterranean assault vehicles slowly made their way to their designated locations, ready to strike at a moment's notice. Their compact TBM/tunnel boring machines made it possible for them to surface undetected, giving the element of surprise to the mission. All the while, the nuclear-powered vacuum continued to work tirelessly, clearing the path for the covert operation, ensuring that nothing would hinder the success of the mission. It was a massive undertaking, but the United States military was prepared and ready for whatever may come their way. The fate of the country and its people rested on the success of this mission, and they were determined to prevail

@@Mhm5213 Indeed. Knowledge is power and we can share it if we know what we are looking for. I've recently come across the "One Small Town Can Change The World" idea from Michael Tellinger's channel and it seems along the lines of what Peter is talking about 'building a parallel economy of people willing to participate" that will be more efficient and effective for all members, over time, than the soul-sucking monetary-markets system. If anybody looks into it more, I'd like to know what they think. Maybe it can be collaborative option with TZM and towards an RBE?

PARAPHRASE: "People often ask me arbitrarily if I'm am optimistic. You can only be an optimist if you see patterns moving toward positive change. You can't just be an optimist arbitrarily unless you're delusional and choose to view things in a positive way regardless of the information flowing to you" -Peter Damn. THIS is exactly my view. It's so frustrating when people just dismiss me as being cynical without father comment or correction (ps they have none). Thank you for putting this into words. Finally someone has the balls to say it the way it is.
@coolioso808
@coolioso808 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, with people like us who know much of the facts, the trends and system incentives we cannot be optimists all the time. Maybe more accurate would be, we are realists who would like to see system change occurring that show patterns shifting towards more positive change so that we could be optimists about the future. It doesn't help too much to be a pessimist, I think, because that might mean completely giving up trying. I don't want to see the day when I'm forced to be a pessimist because society is collapsing into dystopia because we waited too long and the damn monetary system that didn't exist for the majority of human history basically puts a price tag on nature and gets a small group of rich people to destroy the ecosystems for their selfish gain of some fictional invention we call "money." Oh man, I really would be laughing hard at the human sit com if I were an alien species watching on. In some sense, it is like the Truman Show, hoping 'we' as Truman realize the monetary system is a sham and we can escape it before we go insane and die, but unless enough of us pick up on the clues, we might wait too long. Let's see how The Human Show turns out, if it goes in a positive direction, that's what we call a surprise twist!

@@supersaiyanzero386 Yeah, fair point and analogy. I'm a few years older than you but I'm familiar with The Sims. Actually, I guess I date myself if I say that I grew up playing Sim City and thought it was pretty cool being able to build a nice community from the ground up. Maybe there should be a new "Sim City" but called "Sim Sustainable City" where you get a inventory of all available resources and then use algorithms to inform you what the most efficient methods and tools to build a sustainable city are. There is this game called Cities: Skylines I've seen a few clips and it has a "Sustainable or Green' City feature... but what's funny is the traffic is still insane! Almost no matter what you do. I think partly because of zoning, you can't put mixed use developments in the same area, so you can't have like a nice 5-storey apartment building with the ground floor reserved for shops and services and you can't build high-quality mag-lev trains or pods for efficient, mass transit to drastically reduce traffic. I guess it is possible that game could have an update that does that better and allows the user to build a new economic system that makes the current monetary system obsolete.. but I doubt the creators of that game are doing that. Maybe some indie developers could, in spirit with TZM or One Small Town (Michael Tellinger).
@supersaiyanzero386
@supersaiyanzero386 Жыл бұрын
@@coolioso808sounds interesting. Sorry I don't get replies on this channel so sometimes I manually check. The idea of a game where you build a sustainable city or even country or Earth sounds like one of the best ideas ever for a segue from entertainment gaming into educational video games that don't suck. Being able to at least be in charge of allocating resources and getting public health reports and designing cities and getting feedback about how your wind and solar farms are doing offshore and in the desert and then adjusting how much you use and where it goes to make things function (with obviously a built in necessity for powering certain things or it shows as nonfunctional and shows the things that happened as a result) would be amazing. Small scale just one minor city even would be amazing, better still an entire state (like USA states. Texas for example or Utah, if enough people were developing. I'd be sufficiently satisfied with a game with those features in a small island nation in the ocean. Some isolated region at first. In any case a simulation of a resource based economy w/city designer with feedback in real time (with the ability to pause for the player and save to go do our s1ave labor or family obligations/hobbies) would be basically training an entire generation or two of gamers to actually build a better world. This idea as you have explained it and I followed up on is criminally underrated! It could really change things up. Kids today and adults (mostly kids and young folks) have mine craft but it's closer to an anarcho primitivist type society unfortunately. Still has some lessons but the GRBAE SIM is such a great idea especially for activism that would yield results. Moreso than holding up signs on the road and stuff. Thanks for engaging with me. Good ideas floating around here!!

It's such a hard feeling that the world is burning under our feet, especially as activists. Zietgiest 4 is exciting, if it will have even part of the exposure of the first films, it is a much needed influence. The country I live in is currently going through some frightening times of deep fissures between each other, people acting upon feelings of inequality but in a way that creates further hatered and violence instead of pointing that same energy (that comes from that correct intuition that something is utterly wrong withthe way things work) on the system itself.

Yes Patron here, I will continue support unless I am unable to eat or pay bills. Which is one of the silliest things ever. Pay to live arrangements. The interview was beyond expectation from the interviewer Anita Diamond. (Peter is more or less consistent in his interviews with a great explanatory ability so I won't comment on that except that i hope to develop this and we all should strive to be able to clearly explain our ideas, and if we cant make sure not to talk to the media. A huge fail for the anti work Reddit. The media requires quick responses that are memorable in their delivery for whatever reason be it intellect, rhetoric, emotional stability and so on) She asks good relevant questions and doesn't really try to put her own views in, or make a scene. It's just about letting Peter give out information. I'd definitely rank this as one of the best interviews of his to share with family, friends and people who are kind of fence sitting but leaning toward seeing the errors in the structure underlying everything but don't touch it past a political level. Ten 👍 up and looking forward to the next Yelling At The Wind!

My honnest, completely personal opinion, with complete disregard for anything else, including interpretation, others, or consequences, is simply, your last film was confusing and very boring, your first two were fascinating, but most importantly, the first 30 minutes of the first one, ignoring your fascinating enlightening and life changing explanations of money creation, were by far, without any doubt, the most life changing part of all your films altogether, and exactly the kind of answers I looked for, a very long time. Which I over 13 years ago randomly stumbled upon when curiously just giving a shot this what I read was stated as the "2nd most watched film on the internet". I'll never forget the life changing excitement I felt for the many years later. Thanks to those first 30 minutes. The rest, great. But honnestly, if you could reach that insanely impactful effect the first 30 minutes did to me, ever again, I unfortunately could not thank you more than these 13 years later, still always ready to listen to you, no matter how accustomed I have grown to your vocabulary, at first, a tad bit new too me, now becoming boring because of how much I've listened to you (Quiete literally close to everything you've put out). You will for ever be on my radar. But I'm just letting you know how I PERSONALLY feel. Thanks, infinitely, again. (I'll add one more thing that might disrupt this positive end note. I was watching a Jordan B Peterson video, before noticing your hilariously long new video, and I'd just like to say, that while you seemingly always sound like the only person on earth to say the truth, the only voice of reason, and aggree with your critique about him you said not so long ago, I could never agree Jordan B Peterson is not exceptionally unique and worth listening too, and oftenly makes me think he's on his own level, like you, but in very different ways, and so I believe you could learn from him, as he could learn from you, and therefor, strongly suggest, you talk together, on his channel or something ofcourse for us to watch, because holy shit I'd be excited to hear how that turns out. Trust me, the man would not make what you've got to say anything less than more interesting, I believe that.) Thanks again, for everything you do!

Peter, I totally get the cynicism/realism about the systematic/structural level of our world. But don’t discount the positive impact you and all people can make on an individual level. Yes those interactions and impacts may not make any measurable large level change, but they make a difference. And it is possible that, at some point, the structuralist pov that you advocate will land in fertile soil in a fertile soul who has the power to influence structures. In the meantime, we will do better if we align our smallest actions with our largest intentions and take heart in not being complacent and ignorantly complicit. It makes a difference! It sets an example. It spreads sparks of hope and inspiration. You have been a spark for me for a Long time!

@@Cara.314 So far I'm loving AI, was just having this chat with BARD: How can we have infinite growth on a planet with finite resources? It is not possible to have infinite growth on a planet with finite resources. However, it is possible to decouple economic growth from unsustainable resource consumption and harmful pollution. This can be done by investing in renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and reducing waste. It is also important to protect biodiversity and ecosystems, as these provide essential services that support human life. By working together, we can create a more sustainable future for all. Here are some specific examples of how we can decouple economic growth from unsustainable resource consumption and harmful pollution: Invest in renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power. These sources of energy do not produce greenhouse gases or other pollutants, and they can help us to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels. Improve energy efficiency, by using less energy to heat and cool our homes and businesses, and by driving more fuel-efficient cars. This will help us to reduce our overall energy consumption. Reduce waste, by recycling and composting more, and by buying products that are made from sustainable materials. This will help us to reduce the amount of waste that we produce. Protect biodiversity and ecosystems, by conserving natural areas and by reducing pollution. This will help us to ensure that the planet's resources are available for future generations. By working together, we can create a more sustainable future for all. profile picture Would you agree that mankind has the technological capability to produce abundance for every person on the planet including food, shelter, clothing, education, healthcare and entertainment? Yes, I would agree that mankind has the technological capability to produce abundance for every person on the planet including food, shelter, clothing, education, healthcare and entertainment. The world has the resources to provide for everyone. The challenge is to distribute those resources fairly and efficiently. We need to find ways to ensure that everyone has access to the food, water, shelter, education, healthcare, and other necessities of life. We also need to find ways to protect the environment and to reduce our impact on the climate. We need to find ways to produce and consume resources in a sustainable way. By working together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to live a happy and fulfilling life. profile picture What do you know about fiat currency and fractional reserve banking? Fiat currency is a currency that is not backed by a commodity, such as gold or silver. It is established as money by government regulation or law. Fiat currency is said to have "fiat value" because it has value because it is mandated by law. Fractional reserve banking is a system in which banks are allowed to create money by lending out a portion of the deposits that they have received. This means that banks can lend out more money than they actually have on hand. The amount of money that banks are allowed to create is determined by the reserve requirement, which is set by the central bank. Fiat currency and fractional reserve banking are closely related. Fiat currency allows for fractional reserve banking because it is not backed by a commodity. If fiat currency were backed by a commodity, then banks would not be able to create money by lending out deposits. Fractional reserve banking has a number of benefits. It allows banks to lend out more money, which can help to stimulate the economy. It also helps to keep interest rates low. However, fractional reserve banking also has a number of risks. It can lead to inflation, as banks create more money than the economy can grow. It can also lead to financial instability, as banks are vulnerable to runs on the bank. Despite the risks, fractional reserve banking is a common practice in most countries. It is a system that has been in place for centuries, and it is likely to continue to be in place for many years to come. profile picture Seeing that it has been in place for centuries, one could conclude that in the past it was the most sensible way to facilitate the movement of goods and services. Do we currently have the technology to completely remove the monetary mechanism from the human construct? Please provide me with some scenarios of how that would work. The monetary mechanism is a complex system that has been in place for centuries. It is difficult to say whether or not we currently have the technology to completely remove it from the human construct. However, there are a few scenarios that could potentially lead to a world without money. One scenario is that we could develop a new form of technology that would allow us to trade goods and services without the need for money. For example, we could develop a system that allows us to barter goods and services directly with each other. Another scenario is that we could develop a new form of government that would eliminate the need for money. For example, we could develop a system of government that is based on the principles of communism or anarchism. However, it is important to note that both of these scenarios are very unlikely to happen in the near future. The monetary mechanism is too deeply ingrained in our society, and it would be very difficult to replace it with something else. profile picture What about a world wide computer system that managed the movement of good, services, people, etc. based on efficiency and human happiness? It would collect data points from nearly everything in order to come up with the most sensible solution. Automation of mundane tasks and the removal of "meaningless jobs" i.e. banking and finance insurance, etc. Can you imagine something along those lines? The computer system runs the world. We take humans out of the decision making process. Yes, I can imagine something along those lines. A world wide computer system that managed the movement of goods, services, people, etc. based on efficiency and human happiness would be a very different world from the one we live in today. Such a system would have to be incredibly complex, and it would need to be able to collect and analyze data from all over the world. It would also need to be able to make decisions quickly and efficiently. It is possible that such a system could be beneficial for humanity. It could help to reduce poverty and inequality, and it could help to protect the environment. However, it is also possible that such a system could be dangerous. It could lead to a loss of freedom and privacy, and it could lead to a world where machines are in control of everything. It is important to remember that technology is not a solution to all of our problems. It is a tool that can be used for good or for evil. It is up to us to decide how we want to use it.

Ouh man, we are such a bunch of geniuses, aren't we? Absolutely, there is still no AI but only software programmed by people and even if there would be already AI, it is still the distorted value system of humans because of an ideology that is only about competition and self-interest, it is the same like knives, nuclear power or any other technology, obviously the only reason why they propagate it as dangerous is because it is the death of the labor for income paradigm and so capitalism itself, as much I remember one of the ideas during the great depression to save capitalism was the prohibition of development of technology and its application in the industry, but Edward Bernays & Co. won with the idea of psychological eradication of humanity and breeding consumers.

I listen carefully to every single idea and so far the only possible way I can see OUT of all this madness would be if we could start by making it financially worthwhile for people to SHARE the jobs we would almost all AGREE we do NEED to have done and work much LESS. In that way you would provide people with an alternative to doing all the 'jobs' that do nothing useful for society and in many cause only harm . I say this because everyone who wants to change the world is up against people who simply don't want to lose their jobs.
@Wilson84KS

Absolutely, simply because people are conditioned to the money incentive. My thought is first of all a basic income but not unconditional, just enough to pay for the necessities and rich people don't need a basic income, then replace all the Bullshit-Jobs around unemployment and temporary work companies with only one state temporary work company where people can sign a contract and share work in real-time using an app, website or phone service, if you are working and want to do something else you just type the time you want to leave in the app and everyone whose profile fits to the work will receive a message and can decide to take over and earn on top of the basic income.

I'd be interested to hear what people think of the "One Small Town" idea from Michael Tellinger's channel as an option for transition? It seems a viable option. Not saying the only option, but I like the idea of a plan that starts local with willing members and aims to use the power of the unified free labour co-op to out-do capitalism and capitalists and allowing people to just leave "Big" capitalists companies because they don't need them and the community is providing basic needs efficiently and locally for all members better than this stupid monetary-market labor-for-income system ever could. The timing might be just right, where we can do more with less. We can produce clean energy with more independent systems than a huge town electrical grid. Any help from the town is always welcomed, but we can also share, fix and make clothing for all, grow and prepare food for all and there are amazing sharing apps and websites that already do most of the work for us, we just have to get the pieces together with a co-op group and get going.

Talking with people who really studied all the philosophies and theories, communism is actually a good transition stage, from my own experience growing up in the Soviet Union I can say if it wasn't destroyed, it would be a NLRBE today, there was huge science and development facilities working on efficiency, it only missed the technology that was available just a couple decades later, basically the internet for proper needs assessments for the central planning. But I think it is outdated now and is an unnecessary step that would only waste time.

It's more the thousands of years of slavery and how the fear of disobedience is given from generation to generation, "shut up and do what you was told otherwise you get problems, son", my dad said the same to me while my mom is the opposite, they are perfection as one and so atleast in our family there is progress, while my siblings and I still had problems to decide, our next generation is completely free from this conditioning and just use their intellect to decide on their own.

It must be hard being peter. Viewing things from a systems perspective and seeing people's mode of thinking as a product of the system, would hard not to be cynical. Wake up the zombies from this delusion. People happier to just follow their brother off a cliff the question it.

We have an economy fueled by war and debt with a limitless debt ceiling and an incentive toward limitless growth. This is the economic model of madness.

As much as I know how much panic this would cause, but if the mainstream news had any integrity to the truth at all, they would start with this fact, "Hello world, the monetary-market system that our entire economy is based on is socially, economically and environmentally unsustainable, unjust and unhealthy. Here are the latest verified reports and studies that prove that." "Now, we could have been telling you this for a good 30-40 years, but chose not to because, HEY we need money and sponsors too, so it is in our own self-interest to not address the elephant in the room and just focus on the symptoms of an unsustainable system like war, crime, poverty and ecosystem destruction." "Before everybody panics, let's go more in-depth and then give you some possible solutions. [They play Zeitgeist: Moving Forward]" That's not going to happen, so WE have to try and muster up the attention of people in our community to build this new system. Only once we reach critical mass in our own communities and powers that be cannot ignore it, then, maybe then will mainstream institutions have some people show the truth.

I personally had the inception of a similar idea. A parallel economic. A needs based economy or true economy. How shall we begin organising this? I cannot imagine this can be put into practice without the use of technological charity. Manufacturing also requires raw materials, which requires land, which itself requires military. How can we organise these ideas into reality without the help of inventors in household production technology. Unless of course we organise our own money system. If we were to organise our own money system, we would have to then sell this idea to business owners. Perhaps businesses who are sympathetic to money which represents not profit but life. Why would this money promote life instead of profit? Perhaps a central bank which is open to withdrawals from anyone who is going to be using it for a need at a needs based company. A company which gives all want based money to the central needs bank. Now this idea is entirely incomplete, but with some know how we could make it happen. With faith that it would awaken but not degenerate humanity. Perhaps by giving opportunity for volunteering. This type of volunteering would solve for the problem of social idleness in Universal Basic Income

Lastly, I think if people could understand the basic points of finance, they would understand who is in control and these arguments would start to have mass appeal. Businesses not only lend money to governments and reprimand them when they can’t pay pack, they also charge more for goods and services if more money is printed by government. Therefore, resources are limited not objectively, but by the will of industry giants. If people can understand these basic points, nothing can stop them. They would see that this is the true economy we have. Not capitalism, but a sort of lending economy. If anyone reading this is struggling with this, ask openAI these three questions 1. What is our financial system 2. What is national debt and how does it effect the lower classes 3. What happens if a country cannot pay back its debt The answers you get should make it clear exactly how you’re being f’d

For cat videos. How about we put all the money in a central bank instead of letting the government have it? Spend it how we want. Put a reasonable withdrawal limit. Vote on the military budget, etc. Seems to be our right since we’re paying the loan back. Maybe a Supreme Court would agree, assuming they have jurisdiction. I haven’t done the numbers yet but I’m sure we can generate enough for everyone. Serious criticism invited.
