I actually also got my really awesome job doing product design for an education company because I bought a 3D printer about 6 months before I applied! It let me work on designs that I had envisioned as teaching tools for my math students, which was helpful in its own right. But then I got to put those on the portfolio and got hired to this excellent new job! It's the single best purchase I've ever made. I really wouldn't have this job if i hadn't gotten my Prusa.

I'm fascinated by how 3D printing is pushing the boundaries across industries. From architecture to medicine, it's revolutionizing the way we approach design and manufacturing. The level of precision achieved here opens doors to innovations we could only dream of a few years ago.

4:48 Are the patterns you're following with the pantograph also 3D printed? Perhaps instead of staying inside while constantly pushing out, or staying outside while constantly pushing in, the pattern shape could have a track path? A slot to follow?
@spencerjw Жыл бұрын
Please refine and make plans for that Pantograp design. This is a wonderful idea and I'd love to see people being able to replicate it. Granted I have personal hobby CNC that can do this, but it's still really cool.

Very nice. I've just picked one up myself and can't wait to put my ideas to test. Hope you release the STL files at some point. I'd like to give it a try.

This is a really great idea. 3D printing is a great way to prototype something like this. It will be interesting to see how this holds up over time--though, of course, the advantage of printing it is that you can just print individual replacement parts if/as needed.

Thank you for your eye for fine detail. To cut to the chase.. I am looking to do a one off piece of inlay and am interested to know if you have marketed your Pantograph tool. I live here in Canada if that makes any difference. Thank you Norman

This is very cool. Do you offer the stl to make one? TBH i use a CNC anymore but it would be nice to bring out my one of my printers and make one. I love the idea of this thing. This is as good as the CNC setup to work like a Etch A Sketch.

Love to see you create new things, even if they don't work out as planned on the initial pass. I found this maker to have a similar mentality when it comes to 3d design and iterating; Perhaps you could find some use in his process. Thanks! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZyun6aAbaygm8k

It's made by the same company that makes phone chargers and cables, which is actually a trusted brand. Their branding and trademarking, however, is awful. The brand and product name should be separate not compounded.
