Hah. Mine arrive today; I re-watched the video to get prepared for install. Only today did I realize that the hole drilling and chisel work are actually on the back of the vise- and not the underside of the bench. I was trying to psyche myself up for some upside-down chiseling as I lay on the shelf under my bench. PHEW.

My immediate thought was “I wonder if he tried brake cleaner” 😂 Shit is god tier. Even if you only do a little DIY from time to time, you should have a fan lying around.

Funny i seen this close up vid tonight. I just finished machineing some plastic. And did a close up of the insert biting in at .01" per revolution feed biting into the nylon. The deformation and creation of the chip was amazing. Been in the trade for almost 40 years owning my own shop for 20 and it still amazes me everyday

I don't know anything about wood working and i usually trust what the people in the vodeo are doing but when you put your thumb under the gaurd i knew something was wrong

Is this app no longer available? I just came across your video and went to your site, then tapped the iPhone app, but the App Store says it not available in my region. I’m in NYC, so I don’t get that.

Compel my arse. Take the palm of your left hand and hold the guard at full lift as you cut. Now cut away without the need to dick-move your thumb into the danger zone. Muppet.

My first thought was use rubbing alcohol/acetone etc.. But brake cleaner has infinite uses. It even works for killing wasps you find living inside your taillight housing. (Likely even better than wasp spray)👍😅

perchloro brake cleaner (unavailable in CA) is best but acetone or lacquer thinner might work too.

Coming from a Polaris and Kawasaki tech. Scotchbrite can be used to lightly scuff and polish your sheaves then clean with brake clean and a clean rag. Great for oxidization and glazes surfaces also helps with belt bit 'traction' for high torque application like ATVs with CVT clutches or Snowmobiles. Also if your trying to lubricate your pullys i recoment a grease over an pil as grease stays put and doesnt run, depending on how hot it gets a higher heat grease can be applied "only a loght coating"

Never use brake clean directly on the belts or plastic, it’s horrible for them and will dry them out or crack them

I'm betting that your vise liner will also work on clamps that don't have anything on the faces, or has come off to add clamping shear resistance. I'm planning on buying a sheet to replace the rubber "feet" on the F style clamps I have that have torn or came off and are lost. That's as long as I can still continue woodworking once this head/neck brace comes off in February. Wish me luck.

When I get toil on the concrete floor of my shop, I spray it with Brakleen and it literally lifts the oil off of it, then I just soak it up with a rag and done

Pro tip: If your workpiece is in the left and you use your right hand to pull the trigger…. You can lift the top of the guard with your fingers while pulling the trigger. It’s perfectly safe as the top of the saw is surrounded by a metal housing

It actually even works just spraying it on and blasting it off with compressed air. This is how i clean car parts, engine parts.no need to get to all of them nooks and crannies. why not just blast it on there? Break cleaner is said to break belts. Belt makers sai if it gets blasted with break cleaner you should replace it. I guess it sucka living bejesus out if everything slightly gummy.

.......Andrew you are blowing my mind here buddy. More so than normal. Portable clamp rack is such a neat idea. I would probably have it hang off dog holes on my apron. But then i could do like a modular system where i can move all the clamps of a given size and save so much time and space. Which does make me think what is an appropriate ratio of shop infrastructure to "real" woodworking projects... But yeah man. My mind is racing with ideas!! Heck yeah man!
