People like us who are proud of our work are getting harder to find. Its all about who gets it done the fastest, cheapest, and with compromised materials that barely pass code. When I camped all over Arizona I made a stop at the Arizona Stronghold Tasting room and enjoyed some of the most unique tasting wine I have ever had. Maynards wine was still in circ there. I spoke with a Wells Blanchard. I still have his card. I am not an expert, I am however italian and my family enjoyed cheese making many years ago. It is amazing how connected one feels when they experience these impassioned edibles, and relate to our perception of the past. I believe what I drank no longer exists on the websites for Mirkin/Cadueus, and likely was a temporary grape or something wasn't sustainable in the particular variety. Nature is the boss. But it was named after a native chief i believe. Not 100%. WIsh i remembered. Circa 2013 or a few before. The names I remember (only via reference to the archive online) Nagual De La Naga, Anubis, Malbec, Chupacabra, Sancha. The wine I am searching for, was very similar to a Barolo (again i'm not expert), but had an immensely musky everything (like you could taste the sediment rocks) it was amazing. Honestly never had my taste buds move like that.
