Revox A77 MK3 Playback Problem

It works ok (Rewind, F Forward, Play and Record) but after hours (maybe 3 - 4 hrs) of playing it will stop and it will not play, capstan are not turning and it dim's out the light of the photo sensor, I'm fully aware that my unit requires some servicing, since it's a 50 + years equipment.

I suppose by this time you have fixed the problem. Otherwise clean the capstan axis by removing it and cleaning the brass front bearing and lubricating it.

Now it’s working properly, and it was cleaned and i put some lubricant 👍

Brake linings are incorrect possibly too think or tight adjustment. I can tell how quickly it stops.

Hello , My Revox A77 is the same won't play what have you done to fix it ?

Check the motor run capacitors, there are three inside, one for rewind/fast forward and play. Also check power supply board .

It was been replaced already, including the Rifa Capacitors, now its ok 👍 Thank You
